Hey guys, looking for your input..

My first builds ever(on my 3rd) on the pulse x rda by Vandy Vape with the 90w mod it came with. I'm using Vandy Vape SS316L clapton wire 26awg with 30awg around it. I've built dual spaced coils, 3mm ID, 6 wraps, reads .27ohms with both installed.

Vandy vape mod settings are: Temp control SS setting(assumed 316L) with a room temp resistance lock of .274ohms. TC wattage is 60w at 320F. It vapes OK. (Note: resistance readout rises when firing in TC but resets when button is released.)

This is odd, I could swear the resistance was locked and fixed at one point and not visually changing in TC. So I threw the rda on my Aspire Puxos mod(same build and settings) and the resistance did NOT visually change when firing in TC as I expected it shouldn't.

Also, my main concern.. The Vandy Vape mod doesn't visually fire the 60w I'm asking for on the ramp up to it's temp. It fires about 30w which is way slow. The Aspire mod DOES fire the 60w VERY NICELY until it reaches temp(way fast). Plus I get bigger clouds with the Aspire mod..

What the french toast? Is the Vandy Vape mod just crappy? Hmm..

I tried to change the TCR setting which read "SS 1100". Not sure what that means.. It should be .00088 or something
"1100" on a VV mod means 0.00110 aka TCR 110. I have mine set to "1500" on my pulse BF for a SS316l fused clapton single coil. That's different from my setting on the geekvape aegis when I just swap the atomizer over, there it's 94 (or 0.00094) for the same exact coil and the same exact vaping experience (or very close to).
On a third device it's a third setting...

I don't have a separate ramp setting on my pulse (it's not the X, it's the first pulse bf). I just have a power setting which I can access with 4 clicks. Is it that one you mean or does the pulse X have an additional preheat/ramp setting?
If not then either try a higher wattage (TC will stop it anyways sooner or later) or make sure the coil really is properly calibrated at room temp. Maybe adjust the resistance ever so slightly upwards (eg +0.005Ω).
