image.jpg I picked this up because a friend had one and while its not really my vaping style anymore due to being a large chambered 24mm rda where my style seems to be going 22mm or smaller and flavor oriented rda's this thing is packing some serious flavor so I was willing to give it a go. Let me just say I am really glad I did.

It's a 24mm rda with bottom and side airflow however I have been vaping it with the sides shut off completely and 1 of the 3 bottom airflow holes shut down. It supports single or dual coil builds however I have only been running single coils in it. My first build was a stainless steel fused Clapton 2x26gx38g 7 wraps over a 3mm ID. It was around .28 which was a little low I was shooting for a .35 but it vaped fantastically. The bottom airflow is a large single tube coming out of the center of the deck. With a decently deep juice well and the ability to hold some decent sized coils.

The build I have pictured came out way lower then I was expecting at a .15 its a tri core 316l fused Clapton 3x28gx38g paralleled with some vertebraid 5 wraps each over a 3mm ID. It vapes pretty amazingly however I have been using 316l and might start using kanthal as I have been wanting to get a nice and large .35-.4 single coil Clapton in there that will perform at lower wattages. The 85w I have been using for this build is a bit high for my taste and that's not even reading 3.7v on the coil lol.

I'm rambling a bit here and don't be scared away by the builds I have mentioned as I have seen people getting wonderful performance out of this thing with .4 or .5 round wire builds. With the side airflow throttled it turns into a pretty amazing flavor atty for being a 24mm. It's putting my goon 24,sub zero 24 and kennedy 24 to shame right now in the flavor department and producing some very thick and dense vapor at the same time. I'm going to experiment with some different builds on this and report back on my results but if anyone was wondering about it I say freaking go for it (I picked it up at beyondvape for $59.99 free shipping)as its a great performer its different and looks good

Hey everyone I'm still loving the tokugawa and it has definitely become one of my daily Bangers. I'm still sticking to running single coils and just threw a new a build in it. 3x26gx38g all N80 6 wraps and its coming out as a .22 Resistance. Running it between 50w-70w and it has been quite nice. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask!

Is it leaky with bottom airflow? And what about just a regular kanthal build? You know like a 5 wrap 26 gauge or similar.

For a Bottom airflow RDA its actually pretty great at not leaking even when dripping right through the top cap. It only leaks when I seriously over drip. I have used 24g n80 as well as 22g ka1 in here without problems I haven't tried anything smaller though.

If your really worried about the bottom air you can always use the plug to stop it off and use only side air....

So just to qualify your Vape style. What other RDAs do you like. Chasing what others like leaves me with a drawer of RDAs I only sort of like.

I want to get a couple more quality toppers I like.

Will be joining the club next week. I love a good single coil rda. I am digging the prophet rda. The Tokugawa is another where a single coil looks like it makes sense.

How does the flavor compare to the hadalys? I really like the engraving on the tokugawa. I can run a 5 wrap 6mm Clapton in the prophet at 6v and it is tremendous. I am going to run the tokugawa side air only closed small for a decent condensation and see how it goes. It sure does look sexy.

Cool I really like the looks of the deck on the prophet. If I can sell my doode RDA then I'm going to pick one up as it looks like I could fit a nice 3.5/4mm tri-core staggered Clapton in there YUMM

I just hate the giant footprint engraving on it 8(

The hadaly is a very small enclosure 22mm RDA so the flavor is slightly better.... Well more concentrated I should say as I get pretty damn good flavor on the Tokugawa. The bottom airflow with only 2 holes open gives a nice restricted draw and I can fit some large single coils on it (not as large as on the prophet but still nice size) my new build in it is a 6 wrap 3x26gx38g so its quite large !!!!!

Its a unique atomizer that I use primarily as a single coil flavor banger as an alternative to my normal small 22mm flavor chasing atomizers and to top it off it accepts goon and Kennedy drip tips and is pretty damn sexy looking so that's a bonus

All over the place
Stahp, you're making me want this atty. I have my restricted airflow flavor atty of choice (Hadaly) and now I've been using more airy attys - Goon, MutX V4, Mason 24 and Mangala. I'm trying to find the best mix of flavor and big airflow. This seems like a good candidate.

Yes. Dual coils of some kind of multi-strand wire and it's kinda great.

have tokugawa on rx200. been trying to find right set up for it. coming from mostly mech mod running .35 ohm or around there, this is little different for me. i built some coil at .44 ohm today. it's sort of fused clapton. at low wattage, it has huge ramp up time. at 64w or so, ramp up time is much less, but vape is harsh. is there something simple i can do to find a sweet spot? also, after about 3 or 4 puff, the juice needs refill. is that normal?
