Grand Openings and sadly, Closing sales are where I make the biggest grabs. I got 2 bottles of five pawns for about $13 each at a B&M in Tarzana that was closing it's storefront to switch gears and become a wholesale supplier only. I got a bottle of Jameson's P&C for half price at a similar situation in Alhambra. I feel bad preying on the sales, but I don't have a very big budget for these things. I've been rebuilding the same 10 Protank Heads for 2 months now. I've been reading tutorials on modding the eGo-C atomizers. I think I can make this work.

EDIT - Also, the CA ban on Internet sales has got me spooked.

So, I've had a day with the unit out and about. I probably vaped more than usual today, but that might be because I'm excited about the new toy.

I went through 5 tanks, and refilled two others for a total of 7 tanks today. I recharged the battery about 7 times between 10 AM and 7 PM, and the PCC was dead around 7 when I tied to charge the battery. It's plugged in right now, and when the battery finishes charging, I'm going to take it out to see if this is why the PCC was taking so long to charge last night.

Just vaped a Pure Pear flavor all day in it today, and used the same atty from my tobacco yesterday. The flavor of the tobacco was stuck in the atty until about the 4th tank, and now I'm getting a very satisfying level of flavor, vapor and throat hit from it.

The ecig leaked a little at the seams, and when I changed tanks I had to keep cleaning the feeder ends before attaching and when taking them off. I could see this being a little bit too fiddly for some folks. It was getting there with me.

I'm a little worried about the capacity of the PCC being enough for a full day. I did use my eVic twice while the battery was charging. I suppose I could use my second battery, but this will likely deplete the PCC faster.

So, I'm thinking 10 tanks will keep me covered. 2 Batteries should be good enough, but I might need a second PCC, or check out that thread where someone replaced the PCC battery with a battery with something like 1200 mAh or something.

Having used my eVic a couple times today, I was able to do a comparison - although I didn't have the same flavors in both units. The eVic was giving me more vapor and flavor, possibly equal TH. If not equal, close enough to keep me quiet.

All in all - very happy. I don't know if this is a beginner's device, though. The attention needed to keep it from getting too messy with the juice could turn off some folks. I must admit, I felt a lot more free today being out and about as I was able to vape in the car without feeling self-conscious, and I was able to sit/stand/move around without worrying if I was going to pop my carto tank off in my pocket. Very convenient, and kept my nic-fits at a minimum.

Note: As I was typing this, both the eVic and eRoll were within arm's reach. I just realized I went for the eRoll.

Also - forgot to add that just to see how long I could continue to vape when the tank seemed empty, I did get a burned hit once. It looks like it's not enough to be a satisfying session. Burned flavor went away with the next tank, though.

Good to hear its working for you. Its perplexing to me when I hear people compare big-battery/clearos/tank setups to the Eroll. That's kinda like trying to compare an apple to an orange. They're both good but are their own thing. The Eroll really should only be compared to other cigalike disposable or rechargables. In that category with their performance (TH and vapor) and ease of use.... no screwing anything to attach or charge.... just snap in or on.... they can't be beat in my book. I have 510 manuals and PCCs and they've been relegated to backups now that I have an Eroll. Actually, I think the Eroll falls somewhere in between most cigalikes and bigger setups. Its own thing really.

I agree. There are so many aspects to vaping, that your particular interest will totally shape your path through it. I've never been a performance snob or unicorn hunter in any of my hobbies. Right now, I'm all about utility and keeping myself off of smoking. My other PV takes care of fully indulging me and keeping me interested in flavor. This eRoll will protect me from nicotine cravings and stares on the go.

In order to prolong the life of the atomizers, I think I am going to stick to lighter flavors. Drier tobacco flavors, light fruits, and maybe a tea flavor that I just got. The thicker bakery flavors I have I'll reserve for the protank heads that I have no problem rebuilding.

I'm quite happy with it. Special thanks again to hurricanegirl100.

That's what I do. I only use very light in color and thin juice in my Eroll and Joye CCs. The darker, thicker, juice goes in clearos I can easily replace flavor wicks on. So far, I haven't built a coil however. Just not that type of fiddle person. As long as I can keep getting fairly inexpensive heads I'll buy them. Right now I'm buying up all the iSmoka heads I can find. Wish there weren't so many proprietary clearos and they didn't keep updating to parts that no longer work. Getting as bad as the electronics world or software.

Whenever I am able to purchase anything, I try to fit in a 5 pack of the Protank (single coil) heads. I have a routine where I can rebuild about 15 of them while watching a 1 hour TV program. I am hoping to find a way to do this with the eGo-C atomizers, The only thing I'm worried about right now is keeping the ceramic cup intact. I've seen a few tutorials on how to change out the wicks, and I've seen 1 video where the entire coil/wick assembly was replaced. Unfortunately, I think it was in Russian or Greek, and I couldn't decipher what the text said.

I have an 8 year old cell phone, and a 12 year old laptop. I'm about to repair a 6 year old TV with $15 worth of capacitors. I don't like to waste stuff. :)

Kevin, the PCC may have only taken four hours for me to charge because I hadn't used it in so long and it was still holding a partial charge when I gave up on it. The PCC DOES take quite a while to charge. I don't remember off hand how long it was taking me (I never timed it) but some YouTube videos or advice from folks on here might tell you how much charging time to expect.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it!

hurricanegirl100 - I've been taking notes for the last couple days. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge the PCC if it's by itself. It takes longer if I attempt to charge one of the batteries while it's charging. The time added is longer than just charging a battery while the PCC is not charging.

This unit is finding its niche with me. Bigger mod at home, and eRoll stationed with my keys and wallet. When I leave the house, it's perfect for while I run errands, and other things. It's great for a "cigarette" break. It's fine for nic-fits. Playing with the intake while inhaling ensures that I get a satisfying vape.

Yesterday, at the end of the day, I charged the batteries first, and when both were charged, I plugged in the PCC and went to bed. Worked great!

I am noticing some small leaking along the seams. I've carried a handkerchief with me since I started vaping. I also pack in cut-up pipe cleaners, q-tips, and paper towels in the tin I carry my extra protanks in. I think I'll just have to do the same (probably just small paper towel swatches) when I figure out a good solution for carrying the eRoll tanks.

I feel like I'm getting into a groove with this. It's becoming as second nature as grabbing my lighter and pack used to be.

PCC takes a long time to charge - I usually charge them every night (I have two). I've had them last about a day and a half when I forget.
Blunt metal tip bottles work best for filling - plastic tip ones seem to be a little messier.
IMHO, dont waste time cleaning atomizers, just replace them. At $4 every month or two, its not worth the trouble.
Do not buy cheap non-Joyetech atomizers - I tried to save a few bucks once and all 5 of them were garbage and unuseable.

Hope that helps!
