I hate clipping the nails on my dogs. I'm so afraid I'll hurt them or that they think I'm going to hurt them.

My hounds are outdoor-only mutts, so I've never had to trim their nails. I've done it to cats... once

LOL! Yes, I can shoot it once. Then I have to turn around and pick it up off the ground where it landed! So, maybe the mace would do some good, whilst I am searching for my gun!

We had the vet do them just recently since they had to get their yearly shots anyway. On my oldest dog they hacked the heck out him. Poor guy. They cut way too much off and one claw bled for 5 minutes before they got it to stop. I was mad to put it lightly.

Hiya Free! Nail trimming is definitely not fun but I will definitely be doing it myself from now on. Stoopid vets.
