Woo, Hoo,,,,,,,,,,,
I GOT THE JOB.

(artist) cool. only part time, as a learning position. If I learn fast and do good I can work it into full time.
And if not I have nothing to loose, I'll still be on unemployment. They will of course deduct what ever he pays from the unemployment till it becomes a full time gig.

Congrats, Gummy.

Now just be mindful of that Tom-Sawyer-Whitewashing syndrome; it wouldn't do for something you love to turn into a four-letter word (work) just because somebody's paying you to do it.

Good Morning Everybody!!!

LOL, honey gil has been keeping a small vase on my desk with a couple of our Don Quixote roses in it and they are very pretty.

BUT, yesterday my son-in-law came by and had a bunch of his huge roses in a vase for me. This man is a solid, no-nonsense kind of guy who has worked out of doors all his life and has arms that are probably about the size of your leg. But he brought "Poppy" some of his roses.

I don't know what kind they are, but the fragrance of these is incredible. They smell like roses should smell.

Everyone calls my wife "Granmere" because she won't allow anyone to call her granny or grandma or anything like that. When s-i-l came to the front door he said to her, "Granmere' do you think Poppy will be mad if I brought him some roses? She said "of course not, he loves flowers and I have some of my roses on his desk now. So here he came!

These roses are four or five inches across, a nice shade of red and like I said ... that fragrance! You could easily see he was proud of them because he had grown them himself. S-i-l isn't a guy who expresses his feelings verbally, but these were just to say "I love you."

It really touched the cockleberries of my heart.

Yeah, I know what you mean Diesler.

Its hard to smell a fig.

Fun to wear the leaves though!

Yup the figs themselves dont really have a smell .
The plants when grouped together give off a smell.
The figs whoa are really good to eat when fresh off the tree but not so much from store .
