We watched Lawrence of Arabia, full length, no cuts, no ads. on TMC. I had lived in or been in most of the cities mentioned in that movie, so it was extra interesting. About the tenth time I've seen it and it just gets better.

Now I have to get busy and sew some buttons on my undershorts. Don't want any ringdangdoo's running a muck around here!

I remember wearing wal-mart ones.....until I started nursing school back in 92-93. I had to demonstrate how to give a b-12 shot for real. I was so embarrassed I could not see a darn thing. I won't even talk about the catheter change....

Well left to my imagination I have a pretty darn good picture of it lol

I have never watched that movie. I have been getting into classic movies lately so I might add that one to the list.
Tonight I watched "Dudley DoRight".

It is much too early (or late, depending how you look at it) to be talking about ringdangdoo's running a muck...

Hey Sdh,

Lawrence of Arabia is about four hours long, so allow some extra time for it if you choose to watch it. The book about this man (T.E. Lawrence) was written by Lowell Thomas and its a true story. There's a nice little write-up about him on Wikipedia:

T. E. Lawrence - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usually I wouldn't bore you with all these details about a movie, but he was a fascinating man and if you do watch the movie its better to understand what its about before you watch it.

Anyhow, to finally get to the point ... there are many scenes where it shows the incredible size and beauty of the desert. I think a lot of people have wrong ideas about the desert and what it looks like so this can be enlightening. But the photography alone makes it worth watching.

And thankfully for Pokey, there are "Pay Per View" channels where ringdangdoo's are running amuck!

TT

Yes, I suppose I am thankful; but paying for it's just not quite the same.

Hmmmm... TT's in rare form this morning, watch out!

I guess I'm still that little boy back on the farm because I watch westerns almost 99% of the time. Once in a while I like to go into the real world.

I grew up down in south west New Mexico on the Mexico - Arizona lines and if your really into western history, that's the area where everything really happened! And I live for good western movies! Their the best!

LOL, 5card, yeah, that was my pink Elvis car but the finance company came and took it back.

Still got the cow though.

And Natalia, I'd sit and watch those old movies with you any time! I like those too.

They were made back in the days when men were still men and women were still ... wimmen! Some things never change ....

oh, oh, I think I might be getting myself ready to get hammered on again!
