This reminds me of a story and it is a true story. We have a farm and orchard around the corner from our house that has a petting zoo and lots of activities for children there. Anyway, last year I noticed the biggest chicken I had ever seen in my life in the petting zoo. He was crippled and could barely walk.
So I asked the owner of the farm where he got the chicken from. The poor chicken was on one of those trucks headed for slaughter. The truck was going down the interstate and the caged chicken fell off the truck. The chicken survived and someone brought him to the farm. I don't know if many of you have seen how chickens that are raised for meat or eggs are kept but they are in tiny cages not able to move around at all. It is a horrid and inhumane way to keep these chickens and I always hate to pass those trucks when I am driving on the interstate. Ever since I got that close up of that chicken, I only buy cage free eggs which may not help alot but hopefully it does some
