I read about that taxation earlier.
I find it odd that they keep restricting WHERE people can smoke or vape...but then want to increase taxes on the very product they're trying to limit. I don't understand the logic...must be my wee tiny girlie brain...

The cig taxes have been an issue for a long time here in my state. Everytime we need a road, bridge or school program - they say "tax cigarettes"...but then they say "Don't let anyone smoke or vape anywhere!"...

That's them and, by virtue us, for letting them be them - our wonderful gubmint and all that it isn't.

Thanks. I'll read it another time. I'm in a decent mood right now, and I imagine it would just piss me off to read it:) The only positive thing, if nic liquid does get taxed, is that the govmt will start relying on those tax dollars, and it will be less likely to be outlawed. At least, that is my logic ;)

Thats true enough :) I just figured if I posted it in this thread we could find it later. Pokey has already proven untrustworthy at keeping up with such things lol

OK--I am in the present now. That thread was about a bill being sponsored in congress that is asking for an increase in taxes on all tobacco products which would include e cigs. Some big whig came on the thread --he keeps up with this stuff--and is involved some way with congress--he says it has a 1% or less chance of passing cause they just got a big tax increase in 2009 on tobacco and most will not support it at this time--too close to the last increase. (Figure by the time you guys read this, it will be daylight for you)

Yeah but nic is not taxed at all right now. It was just classified as tobacco and taxes are coming :)

Yes they are, and I think we can probably blame SC for that--someway, somehow we can make him responsible. (how's that Techno?
OK--I figured out the problem. At the bottom of this reply box, it says "Post Quick Reply, Go Advanced, or Cancel". There is no option "Wait for slow posters so they can catch up and respond to the current topic". We need to add that option.

Agreed. I would like DeXter to start a new sticky just for our fabulous suggestions for ECF improvements.
And we'll let SC present them to the powers that be when our list is finished.
Bwahahahaha...

ETA - and I would like to add that it become illegal for people to have oddball cap letters in the middle of their usernames, please and thank you. It drives me nuts trying to type them.
