I'm always whining about never winning anything, but Free reminded me that I've won a lot. Some real good friends! And the bottom line is ... what could a guy possibly win that is better than that?

Was that the Chippendale Texas Farmer Calendar contest you entered him in ? I entered him too! I thought he'd be a fine "July" model, sitting on the plaid couch with his chickens and turkey. I entered K-space for "June" - in his white disco pantsuit.

I usually have the "puter" on all day. I have recipes, this forum and other stuff open. I really miss my old cookbooks but I love reading reviews of recipes before I attempt to re-create. The chili I am making is my own secret recipes. It has variations depending what is on hand. I figured since it will snow soon here I might as well start the winter off right!

Okay I will fess up...I am dreaming of winning the calendar contest. I want the cow so badly. I will sneak it into the storage building. Hubs will just have to move his motorcycle thingie. I will threaten the neighbors with cowpies so they don't go squakin to the village. (Neighbors tend to be too darn nosy.) It can graze on my big 1/8 of an acre lot. It will be a feeding frenzy for the cow. I could even put a harness on him and take him for long walks.....can't wait to win!
Sdh, think of all the fresh Milk & butter you will be able to get from the cow! And all that "fertilizer" for your garden! That would be a great win!

I thought I had a mulch pile now....just think...free manure...people around here pay for stuff like that...I really was trying to convince the hubs into buying chickens. I told him we could hide them in the back yard. (Real story) He then asked me what I was smoking.....

A useless fact but interesting....watched a public TV show on Skunks. The only state that will allow one to own as a pet-Ohio. Okay back to the stove...still simmerin that chili. I made enough to feed a army.
I am still waiting.....told my husband we were having forum chili for dinner tonight. He is excited to try something new. I have sliced cheese, crackers, pickles, olives and various other relishes ready to go with it. Please hurry....the anticipation is killing us.
I'm making chili for dinner tonight too...as soon as I find the can opener, we'll fire up the microwave...
