One time we were playing slots at the Stratosphere and stayed too late for the bus to get us back to the Luxor. It was hard to get a cab, and there was only 1 other couple out on the street that late & they were trying to get a cab to the Luxor too, so we offered to share one.
Turned out they were from Seattle, and lived 2 blocks away from us.
Such a small world!

Well we took that darn trolley down to near the Stratosphere. Now there was a Japanese convention going on. Let me tell you that most other parts of the world do not use deodorant besides us :)
It was a very long ride lol

Salem your drunk with garlic breath reminds me on a train ride to Chicago once upon a time. The only seat available going to Chi town was next to a big, big man with a A-shirt on. He smelled like rotten yeast! On the way back I had to sit next to a woman who thought she was Queen Elizabeth. After that adventure I decided I would drive. No more train rides. Scary!

I hope that I could be kind in a disaster. But, living in the city for this long has made me really distrustful of EVERYone. I would never invite a stranger to sleep on my floor (except TT & SC of course!).
I like to think that most people are basically good...but I've known a few too many scoundrels & con artists.
Plus...most of my family is in law enforcement so you know, the whole world is basically a criminal waiting to get you...

No I don't think it is just certain parts of the country Most people do have good left in them just sometimes it takes something really bad to happen for them to even know it :)

Oh No! That is not what I meant either.....put my foot in it again!!! Did not mean to imply others didn't.....Sorry!

I totally understand what you are saying but if you lived through something like that and saw the outpouring of kindness from strangers it may just make you change your mind. This guy was brought to tears from seeing the pictures of devastation. Heard that we were in need of diapers and took money from his own pocket to put as many as he could in an older pick up truck and drive it to us. He was going to sleep in his truck that night. Yeah he could have been a weirdo but we certainly had nothing to steal lol
