Yea T, I hardly see folks workin cows on horseback anymore! Thats a sad thing IMO... cuz the way you used to do it, is just the way it should be I think.... I know it is more effective in trucks on flat terrain but just ain't the same if ya know what I mean.

Well, I know what you mean but it sure wasn't fun. They'd usually get us up at 3 a.m. because it gets too hot during the day to move cattle so by daybreak we were where we needed to be and worked until Dad said it was time to knock off.
One time I got off my horse, grabbed some toilet paper out of my saddle bag and took off for the bushes. When I got to the bushes out came the biggest, blackest bull you've ever seen and he didn't seem to think I should be there.
While my brother laughed until he was nearly sick, I was busy covering some ground on foot and I never was real fast. He finally got between me and the bull though on his horse and saved my tail.
