Hiya Everybody!!! How's everything?!

Doing good down here in dry East Texas. Went in for my appointment with the breathing doctor.... I don't know what you call them, anyhow, she did the breathing tests on me and discussed the sleep study.

Long story short, she said I quit breathing 219 times per hour, that sometimes they do see people like me - about once every five years and that this was one of the very worst sleep studies she had seen. I also have emphysema and will have to use an inhalator twice a day and that a customer service company will contact me and bring the CPAP to the house one of these days.

So all in all it went real good and I got out of there and headed straight to Churches Fried Chicken to drown my sorrows.

TT

UGH! I was afraid that might happen TT :( The bright side is that you quit smoking! :) My mom has COPD and Emphysema. She vaped for about 6 months and MAN could we all tell a difference in her stamina and her breathing! Sadly she went back to the cigs and is back to barely being able to get her breath :( So you did a very good thing giving up the cigs! there is a bright side to even the worst news :)

OH! And the other possibly bright spot in this is that you will start on your inhalers and be able to get your breath so much easier! My mom is SO stubborn that it has taken years to get her to actually use the inhalers :( I finally started ratting her out to the doc and I think she is using them now :)

Wow TT I think that CPAP is going to do wonders for you! I am sure you will be extremely happy soon!

Well, if it will give me some relief with this breathlessness and some energy to do things outside again and exercise, I'll be real, real happy. I've been like the proverbial couch potato for the last year or so. Lots of big plans just no energy to do them. And its tough because my whole life has been mostly out of doors, but now by the time I walk to the porch, I'm winded.

So I'm really looking forward to that "being happy!" And thanks!

Ooohh, I'm not like that at all.

Not a hard headed bone in my body.

Not a one!

Her diabetes is getting out of control and the doc told me to do inventory at her house and confiscate anything that she should not be eating. Needless to say she did not like that at all! We went to the store right after that appt. I saw her at the doughnut case and I said OH! are you buying those for me?

hey if thats what it takes to keep you honest! Doc can't help if he doesn't know :)

Well, I try to keep all this on a need to know basis.

The doctor can take a wild guess.

That's what I'm paying them for ... well .... that's what all you people who go to work everyday are paying them for.

I know! I truly was kidding with her. Besides she may be 74 but I think that she could still whip me:blush:

She looks at things like the damage is done so why not just do what she wants to and enjoys. there may be a little truth to that but I think that she could at least avoid further damage if she tried :)
