I always thought about starting a e-bay useless shop. Go around and scavenger items for resale. Antiques and collectables. However, I would end up buying things on my scavenger hunts that I would not sell. I went to a auction 3 years ago and bought a sofa size oil painting that was worth $$$ for chump change.

My hubs sells on ebay. I tried for awhile to sell vintage dishes, needlework etc... and you CAN make a profit, but it is a pain. Just trying to figure out the shipping, and then having to deal with dishonest buyers trying to rip you off...I hated every minute of it. I still have many items in storage that I should list...but...ugg.

I will have to get back out to the garden tomorrow and dig around to see if there are more potatoes. I'm not a very good farmer, and I'm scared to eat something that might be bad...
We have such clay based dirt that it's very hard to grow anything without alot of soil conditioning. Then it rains & rains until it's all just a mud lake...
Flowers like pansy & petuna do much better!

Techno-I think that is why I don't get into it! It seems like a all day work adventure.

Scavenging is the only fun part. I collect antique & vintage Singer sewing stuff, as well as some Franciscan & Pfaltzgraff pieces, so I do have a good time hunting through the thrift shops & estate sales. But soon, they're taking up lots of storage space, and I just have to stay home & get it all listed.
My hubs sells postcards & paper items, so for him, the shipping is easy. For my dishes & old breakable sewing items...not so much.

It was a crappy year for gardening. My tomato and peppers thrived. Everything else was a big fail! I tried a fall planting of mustard/turnip greens. The bugs enjoyed them. I think spring would be a better plan for them. The garden is completely organic so I do not use poison/spray for bugs. I consider it the survival of the fittest. I don't grow potatoes because I have tomatoes and don't want any cross contamination.

And, now that I'm THINKING about it...What exactly would be in the "vintage swinger" catagory...? First thing that came to mind was an olive green polyester men's leisure suit like "they" wore in the 70's ...

LOL....that would prolly fit in the category!! And I don't even know what else ... Oh Love beads maybe!! Ha.....I dunno just thought I read vintage swinger....
