Oh, I'm sorry Sd & Tg, but the Mentalist is on (I am a few hours behind ya'all!) - so I'll be leaving soon.
I may be back, surfing with the tablet if I can find the forum on it!

I love The Mentalist :) Enjoy! I didn't watch it tonight but have my DVR set to record all episodes of it.

She may just be trying to forget them, LOL!
I worked in the cardiac ICU for a few years, then went back to school and got my masters in nurse anesthesia (the crna in my name stands for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist). I've been an anesthetist for 10 years.

True about the ER!
Your job sounds great. You get to make the patients be quiet!!
I have a hard time being anesthetised (sp?). They usually have to give me a shot of something afterwards...
So I appreciate the skill!
OK, BBL

TG do you work full time? Your job is very interesting. I shadowed in a OR during my clinical and found it very interesting. My job I have to juggle 32 patients. I did agency work once upon a time and they made me take care of 50 patients. Unreal!

Yes, I work full time. I work nights and evenings. And 6 weeks of weekends in a row followed by 6 weeks of weekends off. My schedule is so varied that my husband never knows when I'm working without looking at my calendar, LOL. It is interesting work. And I only take care of one patient at a time. That is a real benefit. I wouldn't like having to take care of as many patients as you do. Just doesn't seem safe.

Sorry still not on your schedule yet Pokey. Went to see daughter's play. It was a huge night for the Kids. The playwright was in town and met the group today and watched the show. Something that just doesn't happen and kids were psyched and just knocked it out of the park?.... theater. She also was judged a member of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. Last year she and her partner were the first Freshmen to make it to the western US regionals in 6 years. (Proud Papa, I know )

Going ta miss tonight too. Headed to Monterey to see Furthur (the Dead) Whoo Hoo !!!

Congrats Wharf Rat, that is cool.

SD & TG my wife did NICU at Johns Hopkins, she still tears up when she thinks about babies she took care of and that was a long time ago. she did some floor nursing and office work but ended up as an IV therapist. She loved that and was really good at it. Then medical issues made it so she couldn't do it anymore. It took a lot out of her to leave the job she loved to do. Nurses are way undervalued in this country and way overworked.

I realize for us java junkies this single serve business is a bit of an inconvenience, but queue up and get over it. If I can you can -- after all, it's Pad's day, not ours! :)

Happy Turning Day, Pad!

Thanks for asking Pokey, it hurts but not as much so not using it for a couple days sure seemed to help.

The keurig has a huge selection of flavors for coffee, tea, hot chocolate (not found a good one yet of this though), even some iced beverages. My wife told me not to get her one 2 years ago saying she would never use it so last year i bought it anyway. She and the kids usee it everyday.
