And Pokey, aren't those some beautiful cows? As sparse as the grass is out here you would think they would look starved, but a vet told me one time that the cattle here actually do better than those in East Texas because the grass here is very nutrient rich while the grass in East Texas has had a lot of the nutrients washed out of it from the rains they have (usually).

I saw something on the news last week where the hummingbirds (they migrate across the ocean from TX) were piled on top of each other at feeders because the flowers are gone due to lack of rain there. That was very sad

Wow, I was just looking at the news on television out of Tucson and they were showing a big snow up in Flagstaff, Arizona today. Sure glad we're down south here where its sunny and warm!
We had a great time today going looking for rocks and the scenery along the way is breathtaking in places. It always amazes me the vast amount of land you can see at one time ... but no people. If there's a car ten miles in front of you and another ten miles behind you ... its a traffic jam.
