TT, yes a little time on FB recently - very little. I usually access it via my tablet through the app. But I have been there, yes, so it is possible.

But it started acting fritzy after googling images for some threads before it went completely haywire and then crashed. I realize I could have picked it up anywhere; and I use the term virus loosely - more likely a trojan/worm thingy. (I am so PC literate, y'know)

Dies, I had been using Windows Security Essentials as well as Malaware - both caught and recognized the threat - neither had means to quarantine nor rid it, must have been a relatively new one (naughty hackers out there, for shame) ...by the time I located a possible fix, I had the BSOD. :glare:

I will look into AVG as well as Avast - I am not a Norton/Symantecs fan from previous experience - but that was a long time ago. AOL days, lol. Thank you for the link.

jj - things are shifting everywhere or so it feels. It is sad. :( I will try to be there at PVT as I can...((((jj))))

OK, really gone now!!
She tells me to stop talking to her, so she can get some work done, but she keeps gabbing on the thread. :p

You should use a sanboxed browser. I use the free version of Sanboxie and have never had an issue.

Not familiar with the term - will have to look it up. Must be something you figured out after your PC crashed a while back? Maybe that wasn't a malware issue, though. I forget. Regardless, thanks for the tip. :)

I have to admit, I learn more from my PC mis-adventures than I ever would if everything ran perfect all the time.

Pokey, I'm recovering from a working weekend too. Boy, I was busy, busy, busy.

I got two of our clocks reset yesterday and I'm going to make an effort at getting a couple more done today.

TT

Me, too.

I'm subscribing to TT's work philosophy today. I've only got two clocks left to set...I'll get to them after a Pokey nap.

Maybe.

I've got you both beat.... I just leave my watches set where they are and figure they will be right again in 6 months :D
