Hiya Everybody!!

Well, we spent the day at the lake again and it didn't rain ... but now it looks like it getting ready to do it soon.

We had a good time, lots of kids running around and some were out fishing on the boats (the kids are all teenagers now), some were being towed on a knee board and tube, swimming, and the women fixed lots of nice things to eat. So it was a pretty fine day.

About the only interesting thing was "Uncle Ross's" 40 year old son pulling up in his bass boat with a big motor on it and getting ready to haul kids around on the knee board and he fell out of his boat. Would you believe some of those people actually laughed at that? Well, I guess I did too, but if it had been anybody else it might not have been as funny. He sure made a big splash though!

Some of the kids caught some real nice bass and son-in-law caught one of the biggest perch I've ever seen. I really didn't know they would get that big. And of course, I'd left my camera at home.

It was a real nice day though and I know for sure everyone had a good time. You could tell by all the laughing!

sounds like you got some big boy toys TT!
motors and lights, knobs and switches, and a four wheel drive!

My wife and I had a busy weekend too! We took our kayaks out on the river for the first time this year.

I made sure my vaping gear could come too! the life jacket has pockets and I got a water proof pouch that my PV fits perfectly! I couldn't enjoy myself as much without.

I see my wife got a picture of me with my Riva in my hand!

nice day out!

What a beautiful and serene picture that is, Pad. I can't really see your Riva but the scenery is nice.

I am off to make breakfast now. I hope that everyone has a great day.

PS my eyes are so bad that I thought that the boat ramp in the back ground was vapor coming from your mouth at first lol

Wow, lots of good pics to look at this morning! I love that one of Nursie T's ... being into major loafing I could really appreciate that one. And the others are sooo cute!

Hey Padre, your kayak pic is real nice too. Wifey and I used to do some kayaking when we were a bit younger. I can't say that I ever especially mastered it, but it was a lot of fun trying. Any more, with the illnesses, arthritic joints and old age stiffness, we limit our water excursions to the deck boat. Its easy to get on and off of, and we can maneuver around on it without any problems.

I've had some breakfast and honey girl has gone to her art classes. That's the highlight of her week and I'm glad she enjoys it so much.

I guess I'll mosey up to the Coffee shop and pick up on all the local gossip from the last few days and then maybe stop by the Feed Store and Hardware Store to see what they know ... which usually isn't anything. But that's usually exactly how much I want to know. So that works out pretty good.

I guess everyone else has already got into their little, yellow Prius and gone to work and are all having a lot of fun and good times. I know their enjoying every minute of it. Lucky stiff's.

But they can have it.

I'll just go to the Coffee shop and visit a while.

Padre, that is a beautiful picture! I've never tried kayaking, but it looks like there's not enough room in that little boat and it looks like it would tip over easily!

you would be surprised about the room inside. I had a 32 ounce water jug, a cooler with a little food, and a towel all in the seat area, and there is a storage area that could hold more.

you also would be surprised by how steady they are. It would really take an effort to tip this thing. Compared to a canoe, these kayaks are 100 % steadier!

Hi Again Everyone!!

Well, I made it up to the Coffee Shop and everyone was there and the joint was jumping. As much as it ever jumps.

Old man Harley and old Fred were there too and after their recent altercation wouldn't sit near each other and just kinda glared at each other. After hearing a couple of the words that came out of old Fred's mouth I'd think that maybe old man Harley needs to thunk Fred on the head with his Bible at least one more time. Oh well, they'll make up with each other one of these days.

There wasn't much going on at the Feed Store or the Hardware Store either, but having been filled in on all the local gossip I came back home.

So I made the bed and cleaned up the kitchen for wifey and unloaded the dishwasher for her then I found four fish sticks in the freezer that she had hidden from me. She knows I love those things. So I warmed up the oven and baked the fish sticks but when I took them out of the oven they stuck to the metal thing I had them on and the hot pad started to get real hot while I was trying to get them off and one fell on the floor and the dog ate it. So I ended up with three fish sticks for lunch.

Some days I think its just better to watch lizards baking on a rick.
