Hi Everybody,
Wow, what a weekend. I'm actually glad tomorrow is Monday so I can get some rest ... while all of you go to work.
The fishing tournament was a great success. A friend of my son-in-law's cousin caught the biggest bass but I don't have any particulars on it.
Friday we had a fish fry at one of the lake houses and there were probably about 30 people there and tons of good food and chatter going on. Saturday was the fishing tournament and there had to be 60 or more people there. A lot of the women brought food and son-in-law (our grilling expert) cooked several briskets, a huge amount of different kinds of sausage, burgers and hot dogs. The man worked his tail off.
It was a beautiful day, about 84 degrees, but a few clouds to block the sun a little and it was really nice in the shade. There were dogs to pet, kids swimming and playing. Some were getting towed on a tube with one of the boats, kids in kayaks and canoes, and young adults in boats including my grandson in the bass boat I gave him. A lot of people were fishing, lots of beer was consumed and there was lots of good times.
We got to visit with a bunch of old friends we haven't seen in quite a while and it was just a totally, really fun day.
And the whole thing overflowed into today and there were still a lot of people enjoying the lake and left-overs.
And now ... you're left with one tired out old man.

There were 6 members here when I posted but the room cleared pretty quick. I think that a lot of people have just moved on to FB. It may end up with just me and you left here before it is all said and done lol
