I like and use the TFA brown sugar extra with several of my tobacco mixes. It's not dead on , but fairly natural tasting imo.

I have the regular brown sugar so I may try that in one of my batches.

Also, what does the hazelnut praline do to the mix, and is it any good as a stand a lone mix? I've tried the capella's praline and cream and it's not that great imo.

I haven't tried it as a stand alone and probably won't as I tend to like more complex flavors. What it does to the mix? Hard to describe other than to say that it adds a little something extra that I like, as does the English Toffee.

I will say that this keeps getting better the longer it steeps. I'm vaping my previous batch (about 2 weeks old and minus the Hazelnut and Toffee and a little more of the Caramel, Swirl and Cream) and it's really, really good!:) Fortunately, I made enough of this latest batch to put some away for a while.

Edit: One more thing. A few days ago I added a few drops Cotton Candy (to the current and previous mix)and think I found the sweetness I was lacking. I think it was about 1 drop per 10ml.

I was torn between trying RY4D with Dulche De Leche or Brown Sugar after smelling the two I went with

TFA RY4 (Double) 8%
TFA Brown Sugar (Extra) 2%

I hope this turns out better than the one I made before!

So, I've been through about 50ml of what I refer to as "BOSCO's DRY4". I love it !

DRY 4 12%
Bavarian Cream 8%
Caramel 8%

VG 36mg Nic Juice
Target 18mg
10ml Target
For 50/50

Next up is to make a Mentholated version for that little extra kick.. Thinking 5% menthol on top of what I have already.

It looks like you want some FLAVOR!

Don't be surprised if you wind up at 10% on the dry4, but 8% may well do it for you. It really does settle down quite a bit with a long steep time. When I mix mine I usually mix a separate 3ml batch for quick vaping and about 6% is high as I can go on that. Fresh, the tobacco flavors seem really pungent to me with just a hint of the other flavors. I still like it for a change of pace, but the 3ml is about all I can enjoy of it lol.

After a four week steep tho, and even at 10%, those pungent flavors settle down a little and the vanilla comes forward a little and the caramel a little more. Then I can rip through a big bottle in no time. :vapor:

I was a little hesitant especially after the last batch, I can bump it up next time if it seems lacking.

I've been reading this thread for days. My DIY stuff arrives tomorrow. I'm totally stoked. I got a handful of tfa and capellas flavors. The usual suspects including dry4 of course. I like 60/40 pg/vg mostly and 12-18 nic. Mostly through protanks and davides with my SID. My plan for my first batch is a standard dry4 only mix.

Just to confirm what I think I already know, 10% flave is the best jumping off point? I also have cotton candy and smooth to take edges off if necessary.

I will test through a basic 510 dripper before tanking anything as well.

TIA!

Okay, I added another 2% of DRY4

TFA DRY4 10%
TFA Brown Sugar (Extra) 2%

Time for a long steep!

Yeal, it's easy enough to take either way after a long steep, but I think a little faster to dilute than add too. The only tip I have for dilution is to separate off one or two ml and work with that until you get what you want, then do the rest. You probably knew that already but I'll mention it for any new eyes reading the thread.

Even adding is usually faster than the original steep time though, which brings me to seed steeping. I've ran across a couple of posts that mention that but I've never tried it. I think it should work though based on where I've added to a steeped mix and it seemed to come together after a few days.

Something with a little twist:
Dry4amisu !

DRY4 8%
Bavarian Cream 3.5%
Tiramisu (liqua premix. I was out of caramel) 3.5%

25minute hot bath + vigorous shaking and it's pretty good ! Straight from mix to vape I think it could use more Bavarian Cream, but it's not bad. Gonna wait a week as it's not an even color throughout to re-taste.
