I was peacefully sitting here wondering what if anything intelligent I could post at this time of night sitting at the kitchen table beside the patio door.

Of course its that time of night when the dog's gone to bed and the cat has just started the in and out before I lock her out for the night. Anyways she comes to the door and not paying attention, after all I was reading a post about a V3 mod and I was interested. So I get up not watching the cat, open the door out of the corner of my eye I see her scoot past my feet.

Problem: she has something in her face, no mouth. A mouse has happened before but this was bigger much bigger and it was very much alive. A bloody chipmunk. Of course what do I do but close the dam door. Now what to hell do I want to trap a terrified to death (I only wish) chipmunk in my dam kitchen at 1 AM on Wednesday morning for????

Well the cat's obviously having a gas I'm running around the kitchen (as quietly as I can 'cause if I wake up "She Who Must Be Obeyed" well you know.... ) Anyway I kicked over the dog's water bowl, actually more like a tank Labs drink a lot, slipped and fell, eventually caught the chipmunk, who bit me for saving its life. Of course when I was bitten I dropped it into the pool 'cause I was going to let it go near the fence.

I had to fish the dam thing out with the skimmer net but it kept diving back into the pool, Olympic tryouts I think but didn't score high enough kept pissing the judge off. Eventually launched it over the fence. I walked back into the house to find the Cat and the Dog sitting there they were watching I'm sure.

One last toot I'm done ...good night.

LOL! I used to let the cat out and just pushed the door slightly closed so he could nudge it open. The door kind of closed after that. I came down from upstairs one morning and my cat was acting weird. Then I saw it, I had my least liked animal, a possum in the house. I get chills thinking about it they gross me out.
I watched as it ate the cats food and later he stuck his head in a cat food bag and couldn't get out. I had a stick about the size of a golf club but bigger around and I teed off on that b*stard. I clubbed him out the door and broke a very solid stick on him. He stumbled away. Thank god he didn't kill my cat.

Visions of the Grizwald Christmas came racing through my head when I read this! It was funny watching the cat chase the chipmunk through the Grizwald's family Christmas tree then, and it is even funnier imaging the chipmunk doing laps in the projectguy family pool!

Didn't think they could swim had a dam good back stroke

As long as you dont go for your nuts, all should be fine.

Used heavy gauge colander for protection.

Look at the bright side,it could have been the dog bringing the cat in his mouth (and I bet the cat belongs more to "the one that needs to be obeyed")

The cat was a "gift" from my son when he left of Vancouver Film School. Actually I like cats. Used to own a Maine ..... Loved to watch it beat up on this big doberman that kept coming around the house.
