niterider,

you are absolutely correct. I unthinkingly made a statement that made a lot of assumptions and I apologize to everyone who feels the same way but doesn't want to give this guy any credibility by responding.

Again, I apologize for my thoughtless remark!

Sorry, but there are a lot of people that are simply looking for info and if his intentions are less than honorable, then shame on him...but maybe someone that truly is looking for this info will find it helpful. His credibility has little to do with why some of us still respond. For me, if it's animal related, I can't help myself.

PLSChows,

I agree with you, too! There has been a lot of good, useful information for animal lovers come out of this thread, which is good. Your info just helped a friend of mine!

My intent hasn't been to stifle the communication between genuine posters. I just wanted them to know how they got there and remind them of his other posts and his ulterior motives and agenda.

Thanks again for the laundry info! :)

Note: I'm not really sure why I am still involved in this "crusade" against this guy. I only seem to offend someone whatever I say. It's just that I hate manipulators and it seems that so many people don't realize what is going on. But, as niterider implied (I hope I'm not "assuming" again) I would probably be better off not feeling responsible to inform people and just let them go on their merry way!

HK45, if it weren't for members like you, this type would never be outed. This forum needs your sharp perception and keen eye. PLEASE don't stop posting and definitely don't stop outing those with alterior motives! You did not offend anyone but the OP. hehe

PLSChows, (Love the chow!) I'm an animal lover too. (2 cats, 2 dogs) Don't feel bad for getting caught up in this rhetoric, I also responded to the OP's post. With this type of person logic does not compute. They are trying to evoke an emotional response from all of us by using subjects that are close to our heart.

I think the OP was trying for a repeat performance. His previous subject was about turning his non-smoking gf into a vaper.

The SCOE10X that I mentioned before is great for clothes as well. I've sprayed it on pants that I was wearing...odor gone ! ! ! Just be aware that it only works when it's wet..if it dries too quick, might need to do it again. Then I just washed as normal. I haven't found anything that it didn't work on, including a leather laptop bag strap.

That stuff sounds might good! Thanks!!!

It IS :D

Best I've found in over 30 yrs of working with animals (and their associated odors..lol)

Best part is it's non-toxic and CAN be sprayed directly on the animal if necessary. Or yourself in a pinch (I heard some of our military in Iraq stuck in tanks for weeks on end ordered it and used it on themselves as well as their gear so they could actually breathe 8-o) Great for spraying in stinky sneakers too!

niterider,

Thank you for the kind words. I really was feeling badly about things, especially because this is the only forum that I have "met" people I truly like (not to mention the subject matter being close to my lungs! :))!!!

Thank you again and it would be kind of dumb to let one jerk turn me away from all of the good things going on here. Everyone have a good night!

MisanthropicMalcontent,

You are right. It is unethical but if you are implying that because these guidelines weren't followed make my assessment invalid, you are wrong. Assuming that everyone is ethical would be naive.

If you don't mind being manipulated and just answer ingenuine questions, no judgements (at least ones that I won't just keep to myself). :D

Gep is the name, MisanthropicMalcontent is my title, but never mind that.
Just to clarify and not to stir the crap, the "unethical" comment was directed toward Ultimist's actions and not your comment about them.

We cool now? :D

gep (sorry about the MM),

We cool now. ;) Sometimes when these debates get rolling it gets difficult to tell who said what to whom!

Sorry about the misunderstanding! Now I feel like the little mutt with the Big Dog saying "P*ss Off"! :)

I dont agree with crating except for potty training a puppy, but that's not the question, so... ;)

The cat either has never learned to use a litter box or is having behavioral issues, one of the two. If it's the latter, then you need to befriend the cat and give it lots of extra attention. It's upset about being uprooted, upset about the other animals getting attention, and upset about having to share its human. Cats are like small children; they get jealous and upset easily, and need tons of attention. When not given the attention they seek, they act out. Think of it like a small child who's mommy just got married to some total stranger without any warning.

First take it to the vet to check for infections, if clear and the cat didn't do it before move then its mad at something new home, dogs, YOU and then theres the purebred elephant in the room i have 6 cat and between the box and the backyard by the pool i never have that problem but i have just plain cats purebreds have been inbred so bad that there mentally unstable to say the least try changing the box location, put in one room alone and see if it still does it and make sure you clean the spots well they tend to bring it back to same spot sometimes. good luck if you can't find the problem look for a rescue org that will take it DONOT drop it at the pound. AND make sure its fixed that cures some problems...

good luck again..

If the animal becomes destructive and you have exhausted all options, putting the cat down is reasonable.

Umm, surely you don't mean to suggest putting a cat down because it pees? There are other ways of dealing with this issue besides murdering an innocent animal. I believe there are kitty diapers.

We all pee.

yeah, cats are like big jealous babies! When I had my first, they started acting up ...... in random places like the freakin closet (NASTY b/c I wouldn't find it right away) or when I had my second recently they started ...... in all the baby's things before I even had him, we had the pack n play set up and they peed in it and ruined it, they peed on a bunch of the clothes and I had to throw them away, they peed on the CARSEAT which was expensive GRR and I couldn't save it because it soaked through to the foam that is attached to the seat, and I didnt want to risk washing it and weakening it.. my cats have costed me $$$$$$$ over the past few years.. every time they get mad.. watch out!!!!! I feel bad, I forgot to put water out, heard them raising heck in the middle of the night, but didn't really think about it-- but looking back they were ...... there was no water and peed in my son's wagon. great.... don't P.O. the cats or they will pee everywhere. I wanted to find them a new home after the last thing with the baby gear... but they are still here... being bad occasionally...

Outwest,

I think you have something there! My mommy actually did that when I was a teenager. Result: I stole his car and p*ssed in the gas tank when I abandoned it in the worst neighborhood I could find.

I really wasn't a bad kid, I just acted out occassionally. We had a carport and luckily he had left the keys in the car so I (thank God) avoided the justice system!

Note: Now I feel badly :(. I wonder where he is now...
