Hey Freaky, I'm planning a trip out to your state this summer. I'm really looking forward to it. My daughter gets her BA this summer and for a graduation present we've rented a beach house in Arch Cape for a week.
Are you near the coast? Know the area at all?

I've had the same experience with my GGTB. It's happened with 510, hv901, standard 901 atty's. I figured out that I was putting my tonge partly on the drip tip and partially closing off the hole. Heat was building up and forcing the vapor into my mouth with a tad bit of force. Hard enough to puff my cheek out a little. Scared the crap out of me the first time it happened. Since then, I quit doing the tongue thing and so far haven't had it happen again.

I grew up on the coast, but not there now. Arch cape is just down from Cannon Beach, which used to be one of my favorite places. I still imagine living there during the summers when I retire. Haystack Rock is at Cannon Beach, and is a good sight. Go out to it during low tide, and get stuck until the tide goes back out though, LOL. Spirit Mountain Casino is near(ish) there too, but it is like a 2 hour drive because of the slow roads. It's a nice "on the way back" thing if you're driving.

Dang, I woke up with strep throat. I knew something was going on. I went to Fred Meyers yesterday to get my tire fixed. The valve stem was broke, the tire was fine. Anyway I notice this guy giving everyone the same pitch, "your tire is no good we have to sell you a new one" after an hr and a half he calls me up and gives me the speel, "your tire is no good we have to sell you a new one". I said my tires fine it's the valve stem. He says he won't fix it unless I buy a tire. I went off. I told him, you mean I wasted an 1.5hr. to have you try to skin me for a tire I don't need? Just give it back and I'll take it where I can get it fixed. He says"on a flat tire?" I said "no I have a tank in the back I can air it up with" Jerk thought he had me, then he tells me we'll air it up for you. I took it up the street and got it fixed. Don't ever let those people fix your tires. They are scammers.

Those types of businesses (if you can call them that) really chap my azz! My mom-in-law took her car in the other day for a slow leak in a tire, and they skinned her for $500. Kevin and I were furious! They saw an old lady with a checkbook...I told her to come pick me up the next time she needs to take her car in for anything.

Well when get treatment like that I make it my life's ambition to spread the bad word about them. I emailed Freds already too.
I did get god news fro the dr. though. I guess I have a throat infection of some kind but not strep. I was glad about that.

After I caught that scam and started yelling about it they just wanted me outta there. Their other customers were starting to think about it and one couple said right o and got their keys and left.

Freaky, we had a place reserved on Cannon beach. Big windows looking out on Haystack rock and everything. It was stupid expensive but it was for my little girl, right? Anyway the ...-hat owner must have had a buddy decide he wanted it for that week after I sent my deposit. He e-mailed me to tell me he over booked and was sending me my deposit back. I was ....... By that time everything decent in that area was booked up for our time slot and we ended up getting the one at Arch cape. Oh well it's real nice and it's at least on the same friggin' ocean. The drive into Cannon Beach isn't bad from there. We'll probably spend a lot of time in Portland brew pub hopping anyway. Maybe I'll get drunk and go pee on that first guy's lawn or something.

There was allot of people that were younger in the same vote as your M.I.L.. This one young kid was asking someone on his phone to borrow money. I think it stinks for a company like that to do that. I got a notion F.M. doesn't know what the Tire Co. is doing. I's Kroger Co there but I see every store has a different tire Co. that runs it.

Summers on the beach here are fairly nice, you should have a blast. There are a few brew pubs along that strip where you'll be staying too. A few more up in Seaside, the Astoria. Astoria is pretty cool. Lots of movies shot there. Hey, The Goonies was shot, part in Astoria, part in Cannon Beach! And, you can't forget Point Break was filmed in Cannon Beach too.

Wow! The weirdest thing just happened. I was sitting here vaping on my Buzz with an 801 atty and some vapor bomb cafe mocha when I heard a pop and a burst of pressure puffed out my cheeks!
I thought the atty popped but it's still working fine. The Buzz read 4.49 volts when I checked it and everything is going swimmingly now. That never happened before. Wonder what it was? Maybe the "vapor bomb" went off.
Anybody have a guess at this one?

I vape all 801...thats normal..happens to me all the time...LOL

Hey 5CS....hope you get feeling better! I had a bout with a severe sore throat too about a month ago. Dr. said it was viral and gave me some stuff to gargle. Cut down on my vaping, but I managed to get through it, so hang in there!.

Just was wondering, do you clean your own cartos? Reason I ask is that I have in the back of my mind that's were my sore throat came from. I had boiled some and one that really tasted bad from that batch and soon after that my symptoms started. Just a thought.

Oh, 5card, so sorry to hear that! I, too, have recently had the evil throat virus and it plays the devil with vaping. Here's hoping you feel better soon and that you can find a soothing vape to get you through it...

I ended up using my TV Butter Rum with that (guess the "real" alcohol helped anaesthetized it??) and then back to my menthol after the throat was better but my sinuses were wreaking havoc with me. I also did a lot of salt water gargles to get through it... and drink, drink, drink (water, although the stronger stuff might work to knock you out so you don't have to deal with the misery of it all).

Sorry you're hurting, though, sore throats suck.
