My observation is that so many, just like FRANKSTER, buy product after product never taking the time to learn how to use them. There isn't an e-cig or mod out there that won't give you a bad vape if you don't know how to use it. However there are also very few that won't give you a good vape if you just take the time to learn what to do with it.

So you can either take the time to learn, or you can complain a lot. The choice is yours.

What is your point. If someone buys batteries that die, is that because they did not take the time to learn. I would love to have seen what you would have done if the first four kits were defected. Was I supposed to do research on defected equipment. I think not. Another thing I like to mention....go to any site and look at the advertisement on cartomizers single coil and double. Show me where it states that if you put 15 drops of e-liquid in a carto, you get a dry burn...Show me.

Completely agree that vaping is not for the average smoker. The average smoker enjoys smoking and does not want to give it up. They only wish to quit smoking to avoid the health risk and want to do so with as little effort and trouble as possible. As long as people continue to want to make vaping the same experience as smoking just with less health risk and greatly reduced cost and wish to do so with as little effort as possible most will fail to continue vaping and return to smoking.

The best advise I was given before I started my journey into vaping was to NOT try to duplicate smoking but to make vaping its own experience and enjoy it for what it had to offer me. I was advised that I would have to find what worked best for ME and that would mean spending money because we all are different and what that person prefered might very likely not be what I would prefer.

My 14 month journey has been extremely smooth. Although that doesn't mean I haven't had moments of frustration. I spent the first year not trying to save money over smoking but taking the time to learn and find what I preferred in vaping. Now in my second year I get to enjoy savings. In the beginning I also had to switch flavors many different times during the day. While I had few juices I absolutely hated I also only had few I absolutely loved. When I gave up trying to find that elusive all day juice I found myself much happier with the juices I had. 14 months later I can vape the same juice all day if I wish and while I find it fun to try a different flavor once in a while I now do it for fun not because I feel I have to. The same 510 and ego batteries I was using in the beginning I'm still using occasionally today. None have died on me yet. One atty has died at one month of age and most have worked for many many months before needing to be tossed. I dont' remember loosing a carto before its been a week old and many have lasted beyond a month. I've never met a mod I didn't like although I certainly prefer some more then others.

I've not looked for the "perfect" vape. I've concentrated on what works for me and used it and simply enjoyed something new once in a while. Sometimes the new has become my all the time vape and other times I tried it and now know not to use it again.

The number of new and different products on the market today compared to 14 months ago is amazing. There have been a lot of improvements along the way and far too many "should have never hit the market" products. BUT those duds will lead to other new improvements and I strongly suspect that a few years from now whats tops on the market will look very different then what we are using today. One thing that can always be counted on is that things never stay the same for long and change is always in our future.

While I agree with your argument, you have to remember that we are the first generation of vapers. What we are going through is the equivalent of someone in the mid-70s buying a kit to build a personal computer. I bet a lot of them got frustrated and stated that PCs would never catch on with the general public.

The industry is still in its infancy. I've been vaping for 2 years next month. When I started, the only cartomizers were for KR808s. The typical PV battery was less than 200mAh (and I'm a chain vaper.) But i was lucky enough to find my way here before I bought so I started with an 801 -- a good, reliable PV.

Every month there are new products and tricks. Some of the people on this forum are the inventors and all of us are the guinea pigs and PVs keep getting better. And our friends will benefit from our experience. Each of us will help smokers who want to quit find the right equipment the first time (and they'll tell two friends who will each tell two friends…) The more people who vape, the easier it will be for newcomers to avoid the pitfalls.

As for liquid, you should look into are whether you are sensitive to PG or VG (there are tons of threads about that). Maybe your liquid is too strong. I smoked 3+ packs a day so I started at 24mg. It made me sick. If you're using off-the-shelf liquid, you could be allergic to a preservative or a stabilizer. You might want to try a simple flavor from one of the vendors that custom-mixes all orders.

Hang in there. There's a learning curve but it does get better and easier.

Some friends that try mine are having a hard time with learning how to inhale vap properly and that seems to stop them from vaping. Even tho I give them a step by step. They still inhale to fast/ and / or direct deep inhale to there lungs. And after 1 puff hand it back coughing... "how can you do this over smokeing!?!?"

I believe there is a learning curve. And you have to want to not smoke. But other then that I had a seamless time transitioning to the e-cig. I love it way more then smoking, and I like that there are cool things to try and fiddle with.

Not for the average smoker? Yah I think you are right in a way. But that is because most don't want to try. If you try you will find the right e-cig for you, that is if you want to quit. ;)

I understand...in my opinion it all comes down to the juice...if you do not have juice that you can vape, all the mods and technical stuff is a complete waste of time. That is my only problem...the juice I am vaping is actually getting worse. I thought what I was vaping before was bad...the juice I have now is much worse...out of about 50 juices that I have vaped...I only like three...that is a terrible hit ratio. I know what good wine taste like and I also know what good food taste...but this juice is god awful...I am dying to smoke.

I cannot understand all the you tube videos that I watch...people love this juice...I think I rather vape gasoline, at least I love the smell!

Think about DIY juice, yet? I plan on getting into it sometime soon. Right now my priority is my gear for the great juice i have been buying to use with my perfect for me PV.

I have too...As soon as I have the money, that is without what I intend to do...This juice literally is making me gag. I know it's not the pg/vg or the mg I am vaping because I have actually tasted 3 juices that I like. When I read or see a great review on a juice now...it is not even worth a dollar. I could toss darts at the flavors and come up with better recommendations. I have heard of subjectivity but this is totally out of hand. I really do not what people are vaping...I find it totally incredible that I seem to have this appraisal of juices relative to every one else. It boggles my mind.

I think you should go to backwoods brew and buy you some juice and your juice problems will be solved!!First off when you buy from vendors and have never tried there juice buy the smallest bottles they have to try!Don't go by reading rave reviews because everyone's tastes are different.I done the same as you I read thousands of reviews on how good alienvisions boba's bounty was, bought a 30ml bottle of it and 3 others and the boba's taste like I was vaping a raisin or raisin bran and I won't even comment on the others!Just try backwoods and get some malty,i about like ecopure rich from cignot, others I like from backwoods are ejoker,ry4,these two only are in stock about once a month,or every other month, and melon bacco is great also!On equipment you seem like you would be a good candidate for a ego-t or ego-c like I just bought you fill a plastic cart up with liquid snap the cap on it push it in and vape!I own mods too but I like simple and it sounds like you need simple and what I suggested is as simple as it gets!Hope I helped??

I also hated Boba's Bounty, but people love it...never read or watched a review that did not praise it. Bwb...I hear everyone talk about them...They do not seem to have a website open. I think you have to e-mail the guy. You know more than me about them. I think that is how they work. I love the dulsis from the vapor talk shop but they ran out. I have to wait for them to e-mail me. I have no choice but to vape what I have in the house.

    I completely agree with this.

If you have juice that you like (flavor, nicotine level, PG/VG/mix, etc) then pretty much any mod will work. You can use an ego or a Riva, or you can get a Darwin or Provari or Buzz Pro. Any of them will work with good juice.

But if you have juice that you hate, because you dislike the flavor, or the nicotine level is too low or too high for you, then it doesn't matter what mod you have, you aren't going to be a happy vaper.

Some people like a lot of flavors, and almost any juice in the right nic level will do. Some have a lot of trouble finding flavors they like.

You don't have to email him, just go to www.backwoodsbrew.com.I made my post only after reading your opening thread then went back through after I posted and read what people had been recommending to you.I like what I seen which was the word ego alot and one person put honey flue nut, which is also from backwoods brew and it's good too but I like the honey flu he makes without the nut in it.My only problem has been with juice and after finding bwb I have tried others but they all taste nasty to me!I have ordered almost every flavor backwoods makes and if I didn't love them I at least liked them every now and then.I usually like tobacco flavors the best but I like fruit flavors if they are mixed with tobacco flavors and the one I strongly recommend for you is malty.Like others told you to try unflavored, malty is kinda similar it doesn't have a distinct flavor it's kinda like cotton candy you get at the fair, crystal clear and smells so good you might try a little in your coffee or straight out of the bottle. It is not overly sweet all his flavors are very subtle and smooth!I actually didn't try malty for a while because the name didn't sound to good but it's great!I also wanted to add the ego-c has just came out it's only on one site that I have found Ovale.com and I love this freaking thing!

The best I have tried thus far without question is DULSIS from vapor talk shop, the second is the honey-flu cured from e-liquid express and the third is black n mild from crystal clear vapor. That is it out of about 50. The dulsis is out of stock. They told me 2 weeks.
