I tuck the ends into the cartridge. I keep the cartridge and atomizer on the battery but I loosen it slightly... and if I put it in my pocket I turn it upside down so that gravity hold the liquid in the cart. I don't know how much it matters but it works for me.

:)

Do you ever have liquid in your cart with this mod? I filled it up with 10 drops and put the dart in for the first time, took it out about 2 minutes later and all the liquid had already been absorbed into the straw. If it's all just held up in the dart, I guess I shouldn't have to worry about it leaking, right?

The first time you put it in the straw absorbs its fill. It doesn't do it again for me unless I really wash and squeeze the dart and straw. So, after the first fill there will be liquid in the cart behind the foam.

:)

Awesome, thank you for all this information so quickly. :) Should I perhaps add more liquid into my dart to compensate for it all being absorbed so fast the first time or should I just vape it dry and then refill? Last question, I swear :p

The stirrer (not really a straw as it's only about a 2mm diameter) doesn't really hold any juice because the foam is tightly compressed into it. The foam should be no higher than the cart edge before putting the atty on. Once the atty is on, the foam forms itself around the atty bridge. I don't remove the cart until it stops producing vapor. When that happens, the cart is on empty!

I just did the mod and it worked spactacular!!! I made up about 10 of them but i ended up using some poly fill untill I can get some Blue mesh from Pet Smart tommorro. I have sucked like 2 carts dry and just washed out the poly. The poly seems to work fine its some that I got at Walmart, the non-chemical treated kind that Sun had mentioned in another post. I was wondering how much success there was using this mod with poly...so far so good ;). I will keep you guys/gals posted. I appreciate the mod and am actually enjoying vaping finally. I have been off analogs for about one month and have been frustrated with the whole stock cart thing, and have tried several things. The best thing that I found until this mod was the pyramid tea bag. I am so happy...Thanks bunches...In fact I was in the experiment mood and made a RY4 homeade mix while I was doing the cart mod. I love caramel, vanilla and Tobacco...Yummy.

Yes, I have used the BFD with the mega atomizer/cart I ordered with the Tornado and it works just the same as with the regular atomizer/cart. You need to add approx. 10mm to the length of the straw, adjusting as necessary depending on the material used. I am enjoying some decent length vapes with the bigger carts and they drain to the finish.

Just wanted to say thanks Pete! I'm a new vaper in the past 1 1/2 months. Started trying mods about 2 weeks ago, with nothing that really kicked it for me. This is excellent! FYI - I'm using it on a Volcano (L88??) - just a few little trims and it works like you described. I'm becoming obsessed with my new "habit" - especially now that it is so much better!

been vaping for the past 5 months. tried something different each month..

started with stock filler. didnt mind it at first, had no basis for comparison though. but i discovered that you NEVER vape it dry, wasted juice all in bottom.

switched to polyfill in a straw...too much of a pain for refills

switched to a zero filler cart. i liked the flavor and vapor and the fact that i could vape a cart dry. but after almost 3 months of d1cking around with the plugs, trying to get the holes and straw length right...leaking, flooding (literally wasted 20ml of juice just on flooding) yeah, its a pain in the ....

so yesterday, i decided i would try this one out. i read about it a while ago and i honestly thought it looked stupid and wouldnt work.
but im loving this. refill is easy, the taste you get when the cart is empty isnt bad compared to other mods iv tried. keeps the atty juicy without flooding.

my only complaint so far is occasionally, even after a recent refill, i need to pull the foam up and fluff it a bit.

oh, i see numerous posts of people saying blah blah 15-20 drops (regarding 510 carts) and im thinking how? cause in my carts, with no filler or anything in there, 12 drops is absolute max to the brim.

anyways, thanks for discovering this. just wish i had tried it earlier. woulda saved time, money, and had fewer headaches
