Pete, did you get your cartos from eastmall? I have a few of theirs in blanks, but just testing them with the multimeter I found their resistance way higher than my atty's and so I don't expect much. I just cant find a low resistance cartomizer. I just cannot handle the lack of vapor from them and I'm quite convinced it is the higher resistance of the atomizer built into them.

I don't like regular attys for my eGo either. I'm stuck with having to use the LR atty's

Make sure you get the ones with the silver connector (Boge) not the brass connectors(SLB). Even though these are about 3.0Ω, I get great vapor at 3.7v using an 18650 battery. Here is a link to LR 510 Carto's ProVape Electronic Cigarette Battery Mods, Atomizers and Accessories I haven't tried them but it would appear to be what you're looking for.
PS. These look like they might be SLB's. Personally, I'd check with the vendor to see who makes them. LR or not, I just don't like the SLB carto's. I emailed the supplier and will let you know the answer shortly.
Edit: Heard back forrom the supplier. They say they can't divulge who the manufacturer of their carto's are. Too bad, I won't be buyng them.

Hey everyone, I just made two of these here at work and so far it's working great. I'm noticing my carts are lasting longer and I'm not getting what I call "cart fade" when I vape too much in too short a time and the foam can't keep up. When I tried just replacing the stock filler I noticed the BF didn't really wick so too much juice was getting caught in the back. I tried the plug as well but my atty would push the BF too far into the cart and it wouldn't make contact.

This seems to fix both problems.

Just a tip. There's a Quicktrip near by and I grabbed some stirrers from there. They're exactly 2mm wide and about 8 inches long. I grabbed two which should make plenty of darts for my tiny 401.

Ive done some fooling around with this mod. My previous go-to mod was highping's, either with original filler or blue foam.

Now that ive got two carts outfitted with darts and my 2 favorite flavors, it seems to work just better than highping's mod.

So im just giving props to all the people that contribute ideas for these mods, because theyre the two that seem to work for me the best.

Stumbled on this thread a couple weeks ago. Tried it and have been using it every since.

Took a couple times and some diddling around to get it right, but I have muddled my way through and I am thrilled with this card mod.

Yes, this is the best cart mod for most juices imo, and ive tried most, if not all of them.

However, if im using a thick juice ill go with the Double Folded and Rolled PTB mod.

Just discovered this thread tonight and made me some darts......wow. I'm using 510 Mega carts and attys so had to modify the lengths a little, but they're working beautifully. I can't believe I've heard about blue foam darts ever since I started here (about 6 weeks ago) and thought I knew what they were...but I didn't. These are great! Thanks to all the folks who do these mods and SHARE with the rest of us. That's the beauty of this forum for sure!!

Let us know what's your findings ... how many drops/ml are you getting on the mega carts? I can only put 13 drops 0.35 ml on a regular 510 if this works I'll definatelly be getting the mega attys/carts for my Ego.

Just tried the B.F.D. and is awesome... vaped my cart in 10 min awesome flavor th I should also mention that I used the strictly juice pre-cut B.F. wich is 10 mm square, so far so good no leakings but I'm predicting it will if I leave my pv standing down for a while, will test it later.

Short answer .....no. Take a long look at how the carts are built. They draw air from around the juice holding area. Try the dart as described in the first post and all will work just fine. Or, you could try some 510 cartomizers which work great and last much longer. Just make sure to buy the
Boge branded ones.

These 510 mega attys/carts are awesome. I get around 20-23 drops in, depending on the juice, and they last and last. Now with the darts, I suck them dry. I also got some eGo Mega attys/carts and they are awesome, too. They hold gobs of liquid. I haven't figured out how to use darts on them....I actually reverted back to polyfill for them. Even filling them with blue foam doesn't really hold all the juice without flooding. But man do they put out the vapor! I have 10 new 510 mega attys on order...should be here tomorrow I'm thinking. After I ordered them (China...long time coming) I ordered the eGo megas and got them. At first I was regretting ordering so many 510 megas because I thought I'd found something better (the eGo megas) but after using both for a couple of weeks, I sorta prefer the 510 megas because 1) they are the same shape as the regulars, just longer...and I can use the darts on them, and 2)..(this may sound silly...it's just me) the eGo Megas are messier and they hold so much juice that I get tired of that flavor before it's all gone. Ha. I find myself wishing it was done already so I can vape something else. Told you it'd sound silly.

Hey thanks for the info, just ordered some Ego mega atties/carts and a batt with this folks JOYE EGO SILVER I really need something with 4ml+ to see me trough the working day (all day driving) and I refuse to pay $100+ on a AFS untill They're perfected, the mega carts my just be the ticket till then. I got some 20ml+ juice that came with my first order that I hate.. I just have the perfect excuse to try some B.F.D. mod with it.

Over the weekend I went on a 2 hr. trip and loaded my eGo mega atty/cart onto my eGo batt and it lasted me the whole way there.....two hours. It was getting dry as I got there. So.....we know at least two hours SOLID. (I vaped the whole way...lol) Anyway, once you figure out the exact way to keep them from not leaking too much (it's possible...I used polyfill) you'll love them. You will LOVE the vapor....it almost spoiled me for anything else.

First off, using this hardware: Mega (cylinder) atty, Mega cartridge, Mega (1000mah) batt
I made up a dart last night using the original polyfil in one of my Megas cause I just couldn't wait to try this. I used a stirrer from Sheetz, it has thicker walls than the ones at Wawa so it's easier to load the filler without collapsing or crushing the straw (can you say "meat hooks?"). No leaks so far, not that I've had any leaks with the stock equipment. If I'd have had this rig to start with I wouldn't taken that long hiatus back on analogs. Equipment over all has improved so much in a years time. Very impressed with the quality and duration of the vape. Heading out to Petco now to get some blue foam. Been vaping all morning on the cart I filled last night. These carts hold a lot of juice to begin with, but with the dart I'm getting fuller more consistent hits. So much so that I may have to switch to a lower nic strength if I keep vaping at the same rate. Will report back once I've test driven a true BFD.

@JCnewbie, I have a 2 hour daily commute and the return trip through NOVA/DC traffic can be even longer. So when I saw your posts, it got me all excited with the potential.
