Baditude is always helpful and knowledgeable specially about batteries...in my head his nick/handle sounds like "Batty-dude" (batty as in battery, dude as in "THE Man").

Thanx for all your help and the time you invest to help, I'm sure you prolly prevented quite a few exploded batteries and house (or other) fires.

What more can one say... the Dude or shall we say Tude abides!!

Although I have a sneakin suspicion that behind all that common sense, experience sharing, and sage advice he publishes so eloquently with regards to battery usage and vape gear... that somewhere in the privacy of his most secret places... he secretly engages in dangerous immoral activities involving... 18650 batteries and certain contraband devices... :2cool:

You don't have to miss him just yet (unless you are going somewhere). He is still alive and kicking (... I hope). I am sure if you look you will find he has been helping others in here all along.
The rumor of my demise is just that....a rumor. I take a couple hours off from ECF to watch a movie and look what I missed! I'm overwhelmed! Of course I had to read and "like" every post. I don't think I've given so many likes at one time...I hope I didn't miss anyone.

I do truly appreciate everyone's shout outs. This thread really picked up my spirits. For those of you who don't know, I lost my job almost two months ago. At age 59, being single and alone that is a very frightening thing to experience. So I do appreciate all of your prayers that a new opportunity comes my way very soon.

Being able to quit cigarettes is something that I never thought could happen to me until I tried my first disposable e-cigarette a year and a half ago. It wasn't that great, but good enough that I realized there must be better products available that could finally help me to rid me of a terrible addiction to tobacco cigarettes that traditional nicotine replacements could not. I'm a Google Search fanatic, and that led me to ECF. The rest is history.

Thank you Jake Bailey for starting this thread, and a special thanks to everyone else who took the time to respond. I'm humbled by the attention. It's been my pleasure to assist each and every one of you.

I have not read thru the whole thread so if I repeat what others have already said, too bad.

What I love about his help/ advise is that he never pushes his own preferences and tells newbies "you have to get this, or those suck , you have to use this or.......... etc.

I love that he appreciates the good ole boges, and yes you CAN get giant clouds from cartos, you just have to use them properly

He is not a "brand" snob, he doesnt act like an elitists and show off his arsenal of high end devices to say that is the only way to get a good experience.

Just down to earth, good honest advise. Ive seen you tell the same thing over and over again without ever sounding condescending. Or bored, etc.

I think you were there for me when I first started my journey into cartos in tanks.

Thank you, thank you........... x 1,000.

To anavidfan: I actually don't like Boges. However, I respect those who DO like them. I do tend to push the products that have worked for me. Provari, MVP, Ikenvape cartos, IBTanked cartotanks, and AW batteries. People who tend to copycat me seem to have the same success as me and are happy for doing so, so its all good.

Thanks for the shout out. :)

There are a few people who just seem to have the exact right personality and skill of locutionary act to be awesome on the forums and super-awesome in the new members forum. I have a lot of respect for folks like attypops, kabonk, and Baditude (among a few others)... who can interact that way.

One day, I fully expect to hear some bard singing about how the questions of the new hordes were all answered, answered quickly, and answered well by the small, but very brave band of veterans such as Baditude.

I've seen him referred to as the vaping Yoda, the Count of cartomizer, the Prince of power cells, and the Wizard of wick. (I might have made up a few of those.)

I think he must have some kind of red phone/ bat signal that alerts him to any posts about a variety of topics! Ring... Somebody has a question about batteries...in pops Baditude with 5 links to well thought out and organized information already put together in a blog. Again, and again, imparting wisdom with patience and understanding.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the info and tips!

What have YOU learned from viscount of vape?

I agree wholeheartedly, when I got serious about vaping and determined it to be a long term investment I started studying the threads. Safety using batteries was a top priority. I ran into his blog on batteries which lead me into other areas. Out of this I gained a "big picture" understanding how all these areas mesh to form a completely satisfying experience and a curiosity to further my knowledge and enjoyment.

here is a thought: apply to work at the local B&M's (like teach classes and such) you would be awesome at it, and B&M's should be proud to have you there (maybe as a temp thing, until something better comes up), if I was in your area with B&M shop I'd hire you in a heartbeat for exactly that!!!

I have actually applied to two of my local vape shops. One is a well-known, well-established shop which I assume has a full sales staff. The other one is just starting up and needs to begin to have more business before they can afford to pay me a salary.

It's ironic, but the people who run and work in these shops do not seem to have a high opinion of internet e-cig forums, so having a great reputation on one means very little to them.
