Speaking of sisters ... My sister told me she was going to order her third E-Max kit. She loves the E-Max and altogether wants 6 batts, 6 tanks, and 21 coils in her arsenal. All she needs now is a gallon of her fave carmel mocha and she's set for The Apocalypse.

Thought I'd jump in and announce;

MaxVaper has all new stock in and all of the Kits have been upgraded!

(There's been a slight price increase of $4.95 to the Kits due to these upgrades, such as the NEW ***"Universal Max coils", along with other improvements & upgrades, but it's STILL the best starter Kit for $45 and it's all good!)

*** Universal Max Coils can be used with Mini Pro Tank, Vivi Nova BCC and E-Max Tanks!) - (2.5 ohms) ***

Thank you so much for your candid review. Sorry to see such negativity thrown at you. On the kit, I am going to pass because I don't know if the heads are the same as the Kanger ProTank/EVOD ones which deliver a nasty taste to my particular buds. I wish there was a way to find out though because I really like the look of the setup and the price of course.

OOPS!

I Forgot to add... The cases that MV is giving away with the Starter Kits come in lots of slick colors. (Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, Black)... and the Mini Pro Tanks come in deluxe Gift Boxes. (Can you say "Christmas?").... :w00t:

The E-Max Battery looks mighty cool in the new CANARY YELLOW color...

So I'm having an issue with one of my batteries I got in the e-max kit.

The LED lights up, and the battery holds a charge, but it will not heat up the coil. I e-mailed maxvaper, but was wondering if anyone knows of a fix?

Tried moving the center pin connector up, but no luck. :(

Have you tried replacing the coil in that Tank? (Every now and then you just get a 'bad' coil).

Same here. One battery lasted about 2 1/2 weeks then stopped heating the coil. I replaced the coil thinking there was an issue. Nope. The coil was fine. Battery is fully charged and led lights up. The center "pad" does make contact with the coil. Checked with a multimeter and have 0 volts at the battery connection. I'm guessing the solder connection broke. I'm afraid to contact Max Vaper again because he already sent me a replacement tank since one of them was cracked and leaked right out of the box and they probably won't warranty the battery. Is there a way to pull the battery apart so I can fix it myself?

Yeah tried 3 different coils and I know the work on the other battery.

I e-mailed him and he offered me a good deal on a new battery and even offered to throw in a free tank. Just purchased it so hopefully it ships soon. I only have 1 battery now and it makes things difficult.

If anyone knows how to repair the battery let me know please.

2nd battery is having a center pin issue now. This is the only battery I have left and it's partially working.

No disrespect intended for this vendor, because they really have amazing customer service, but my batteries should last more than a month without developing problems. I ordered the MVP 2.0 last night and am going to keep these ego batteries as my backup and hopefully never have to use them again.

Now my only battery won't even charge...

This is frustrating.

You can reduce the life on any 510/EGO battery or even an 808 by over tightening tank to battery.... as this will cause undue wear and tear on the center pin.

This is just an FYI:.... I'm not actually saying this is what any of you users that are experiencing some Battery issues have actually 'done'.... I'm just saying this is something that can happen with ALL Batteries, regardless of Make or Manufacturer.

I barely tighten my Batteries when I go to charge them, and I can honestly say I've never experienced this problem.... some of my Batteries are over two years old. :smokie:

I picked up a crappy ego style battery, which came with a charger and a CE4 clearo (which appears to be dead on arrival) for $20 at a local convenience store. It's called the "Vapor Exotica" e-cig Didn't really want to spend more money on vaping supplies, but I did not have a functioning battery so I needed to. Hopefully it holds up for a few days until my e-max battery and MVP2.0 comes in.

This has been a week from hell when it comes to vaping. Started out with having issues with my protank 2. Went through 3 coils. Juice wasn't tasting right at all for some reason. Then my 1st battery dies, then 2 days later my 2nd one won't charge and the center pin keeps needing re-adjustment every 5 or 6 hits.

If I can get past this week without breaking down and buying a tin of grizzly or skoal, then I know I'll never go back to tobacco.

Sorry to hear this, bridges, and the others having problems. I have experienced the same issue, but I do think its related to overtightening, as blonde said. When it happened to me a few times over a few days - seemingly random - I would take the battery off, wipe it with rubbing alchohol (or hell, even my own spit a couple of times when it happened on the bus), then wiped dry, and put it back together but not as tight. In all cases that did the trick.

Both are still working fine. I think I need to start thinking about cleaning a tank, though :) ... It's been about six weeks...

Well it seems that there are some folks here that have similar battery issues. I suggest picking up a cheap multimeter and testing the voltage at the center pin and the outer threads. This will tell you if the center pin has a bad connection. I am positive that this is what my battery issue is. I am not over tightening the atty, tank, charger, etc. If the center pin O ring is simply compressed, then you gently pry it back up to make it work again. I also make sure my battery connection is clean when changing tanks or charging. The liquid shouldn't get into the center connection as long as it is kept clean and your tank or atty isn't faulty.

I haven't found anything locally that will attach to the battery and remove the threaded connection yet. I believe the thread type is 12mm by .5mm. I'd hate to sacrifice a working tank cover or adapter in a vise. Maybe Harbor Freight carries something..
