Can anyone provide feedback on using Sanyo NCR20700B to power this squonker?

Cheers
Not sure what feedback you are looking for? I've made some comments in previous posts, I'm using the 20700B currently in the Pulse.

Depending on your power level, the 20700B is an incredible cell. I'm usually 30w or below, have gone up to 35w on this with the 20700B. I wouldn't recommend stressing the battery too much with a high current draw, but it is a great choice for lower wattage vapers.

At 28w, I can get almost a full day out of one, and I vape constantly. At higher power levels, it will of course die more quickly, but I do vape ALL day on a single cell. I work from home, so not like I need to take breaks to catch a vape.

Believe it's rated at 15A, and it's a true 4000mah cell. Not sure off hand what the max wattage you can use to stay under the 15A limit, but I do remember Mooch stating the cell performance will degrade if you push it too hard.

Go into the battery sub-forum and search for NCR20700B. You'll get a few hits, read those threads.

Pick a few up if you aren't a really high wattage vaper. Great battery.

I mainly vape at 45 - 50W and my main concern is 15A being on the lower side. I'm thinking of using lower resistant wires from 0.25 - 0.35 ohm i usually put which will require more power if i'm not wrong.

Seems 18650 3000mAh drains a bit quicker on this mode and i'm looking at alternatives for longer use.

Probably depends on your build as well. Single coils would be a big advantage over duel here as well.

You probably not going to find a higher capacity 20700 right now. It's just shouldn't be driven as hard as some of the others.

The Sanyo 2070C will be available soon (hopefully). That's a 35A 3500mah battery. Maybe you want to wait for that? Don't run it any harder than you have to, and it should last a LOT longer than an 18650. Even though the 20700Bs work well for me, I will pick up a few 2070C's when I can find them to give them a try.

Oh yeah, load the 0.0.0.6 firmware and turn the sleep time of the board way down as well. I turned mine down to 2 minutes today, default was 30 mins. If you go frequent periods in between vaping, let it sleep sooner. I don't mind the first pull taking slightly longer if the chip is asleep. Honestly, not that noticable to me. It's just like vaping a cold coil compared to a hot one. No biggie to me.

Not sure if it's just hopeful anticipation to me or what, but mine seems to be doing a good bit better with the sleep time turned down. And that's using the boost at 130% for 0.5 second as well. If I make it until bedtime and can still vape, it made a significant difference.

than sanyo 20700a or samsung 40T or Samsung 30T .... pretty decent i would said.
with 20700a vaping at 50W i can get close to 20 hr (include 6-8 sleeping time) and i vape constantly .....
with 21700 40T i can get 1 full day ...

The VTC6 batteries (I think they're VTC6D) are true 20A and 3000 mah. Should be the perfect 18650 for you at 45-50 watts.

If you're looking at a 20700 there's another Sanyo 20700 model that fits your vaping style.

Go into the screen with the wrench, etc.

Just press fire once each time to go through enable/disable or the modes (+/- will turn those modes on or off). When you get to 'ST' use +/- to change the # of minutes. Press and hold fire to save and exit. If you use +/- to remove the bar under a mode in this screen, you will no longer see it when using +/- to toggle through the modes.

I've been vaping on mine (20700B) about 9 hours, and battery still appears to be around 50%. Usually it's lower than that, so it is helping.

Yeah the Sanyo 2070C will be 35A, 3500mah. Looks like it will outperform the 20700A. Hopefully it will be more available.

Yeah, that's a crazy 20700. Makes me wonder what they could do if they quit being so stubborn and made a 21700... Probably 30A 4800mah or something o_O

My dream battery would be like a 20A 5500mah 21700. Sounds very plausible, really. I just want to vape 28W all day while still having the ability to go to 50W if the mood strikes for a lower build.
I couldn't agree with you there my friend. Sounds like I'm normally in the lower wattage range you are, so the 20700B suits me most of the time and provide great capacity. However, to be able to crank it up and not suffer too much of the capacity would be good.

I'm not sure if I need them since the 20700B suits me pretty well, but I will be picking up some 2070C's when I can find them. Options are nice.

For 21700's, I'm using the Samsung 48G, but I've also picked up a pair of 40T's in case the mood ever strikes.

Anyone know if the bottle from the 80W Pulse will fit in the mech Pulse?
No sir, just tried it.

Even though the top of the new bottle is tapered, it doesn't clear the button assembly in the regular Pulse. At least not in a usable fashion.

I plan on trying it in the RSQ, and a few others myself to see if it works at some point. I like the bottle stiffness, and the tubing doesn't slide in/out of the bottle, so no having to adjust tubing, having to try to pull it all the way up with your fingernail after installing the bottle, etc.

I think it will fit in other mods that have side clearance, and where the tube doesn't need to go at an angle.

Well, I do agree with you haha. I am enjoying the 40Ts (vaping 17mls before needing to swap out), but picked up a 10A 5000mah Vapcell to try out. It's supposed to be true-rated, per Mooch. Thinking of using that for when I build for 21W.

And, dammit, if Vapcell has anything close to 10A 5000mah, then Sanyo could definitely make a 15A 5500mah if they tried.

Thanks for checking. I do appreciate it.

I just purchased the mech pulse. I like the mod, but hate the bottle! Can fill it w/o getting juice everywhere. Guess I will have to start trying other bottles.

Again, many thanks

Use a small binder clip on the tube when recapping.
Some use something to plug the tube, which works also.
