Mail came early today, first time that's happened in a while. :D

Brad's sent me the wrong color, I got Lava Red instead of Seaweed Green. That's ok though, I'm actually digging the Lava Red.

The refill bottle is pretty impressive. I've got the LV ones that come with the Therion, but never tried them. I will probably give this one a shot. Looks like a nice refill bottle, just not sure if I'll use it since I usually just fill my bottle before I leave the house. I think it's easier to remove/fill the bottle than it may be to remove the atty.

I've got a SS Recurve on it with a 0.32ohm Ni80 Alpha Braid coil on it and this baby is cranking, even at only 25 watts. I'm actually a little nic sick after a few minutes, lol.

It's much lighter than I expected, but feels good with a 20700 battery in it. Panels seem to fit well, no wobble or wiggle. The resin feels nice too.

I checked my firmware version, most of what the reviewers showed was 0.0.0.2, DJLsb has 0.0.0.4 on his. Not sure what they changed, but mine shipped with 0.0.0.5.

I'm a happy camper so far. Plan on running this and only this for a few days to see how it stacks up against the Cut since that's been my daily for about two weeks now. This thing does fire REALLY fast in power mode. So far so good.

Mine from Brad's shows Out For Delivery. May have to go stand by the mailbox in a few hours. Have about 5-6 packages coming today, she might bring them to the door anyways.

Not sure what is up with MyVPro and the Pulse. My shipping label was created Monday, but it still hasn't even made it to the PO yet. When I looked at the site this am, all versions of the Pulse show as 'out of stock'. So not sure if they are having problems getting them out the door, or if something else is up? Regardless, they should be shipping each day what they have ready, not waiting until they have processed a large number of orders.

Glad I ordered from Brad's as well. Got a battery and a fresh built Recurve waiting on the mail lady. Hell, I might not even wash the bottle, lol.:D

EDIT....

MyVPro shows 'out of stock' as I mentioned, but the status still says 'Pre-Order' and the ETA now says May 15-19th. So I'm guessing he's already either out, or the original order didn't come though on Tues as planned. Maybe they were preparing the shipping labels Monday and the shipment didn't arrive? Just speculation on my end. Anyone here order one from MyVPro and actually have it hit the post office yet?
i ordered one of mine from myvpro and it shipped Monday tracking says it will be delivered Friday.

Glad to hear it performs and hits well. Mine is getting delivered to my forwarding address today so I should have it in 3 business days.

Got my Dremel ready to see if I can expand it on the inside to fit a 21700.
Let us know how it goes. I of course tried to cram a 21700 in it, but no bueno. You might actually have to work on the panels some as well. It looks like the frame could be done, but I don't think the panels will sit flush either. A 20700 seems like it just fits with the panels sitting properly.

I really wish they would have just made it capable of a 21700 as well.

Interesting, mine has the label generated Mon as well, but still shows as 'Pre-Shipment'.

Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll give it through the weekend and email them next week if it hasn't changed status.

Well, haven't had much time with it, but performance-wise, this thing hits hard and fast. It's noticeably faster than the RSQ and the Cut. The RSQ is no slouch either though. This is pretty much instantaneous when you hit the button though. Almost annoying if you are pressing the button to change modes. You have to hit it very quickly or it fires.

First trip out of the house with it will be tonight. It's certainly bigger than the RSQ, but it is very pocketable. I like the solid feel of the RSQ, but the Pulse is a lot lighter obivously due to it being made of ABS/nylon. Mine is actually top-heavy with the Recurve on it, but it's a hefty RDA with the thick top cap. Mine just weighed in as follows

Pulse (with 20700, and Recurve) - 200gm
RSQ (with 18650 and Recurve) - 245gm

So the Pulse with a 20700 even is about 1.5 ounces less if this is a concern to you.

I haven't played with the settings yet, up to 28w on my current build and it's vaping nicely. It would be interesting to know if they did anything to improve TC in the 0.0.0.5 firmware, but I wouldn't be someone to judge that. It's been several years since I even tried TC. I will probably play with the power curve a bit tonight once I'm done working.

I do LIKE the bottle it comes with. Haven't tried to even dry fit a Coil Master or the like yet. The bottle is VERY easy to fill without making a mess. Easy to hold onto it well while you screw down the cap. Kudos to them on the bottle for sure. Almost wondering if using the refill bottle will be worth it.

I'm happy with the size, even compared to the RSQ, it's not huge. I would have preferred if they would have made it 0.5mm larger all around so that it would have taken a 21700. Would have been worth it.

Only been vaping on it three hours so far, but the battery indicator hasn't budged yet. Again, I'm only at 28w and using a Sanyo 20700B though. I'll be interested to see how it does tomorrow when I wake up and vape it starting first thing in the morning. I vape heavier early in the day. Will be really pleased if I can get a full day out of it.

I don't have a problem per say with the size of the squonk hole on the RSQ, but that's mainly because the RSQ is so small it fits well in my hand, the squonk hole isn't a big deal for me. I do kind of have to go straight in with my finger on the RSQ though, or I catch the door. The cutout on the Pulse is nice though. Fat fingers or hitting it at a angle shouldn't be an issue.

I'll be interested to see how I feel about it in a few more days.

Can't wait! Mine should be arriving tomorrow - ordered from ecigitty... picked up some vapcell gold batteries too from ecigitty... i've had the batteries for a week now... just waiting for the pulse bw 80w... thanks for the advance reviews... i prefer tc myself for the most part - i do have some non tc mods that are in constant rotation... but if a mod has TC built in i usually go with that...

vape in peace!

If I remember correctly, the only change to the firmware - from a UX standpoint - was after three clicks to change mode, you can cycle through using the +/- buttons. In other words, you don't have to click three times to go to the next mode. I thought Tony B said he was going to do a video showing all the changes, but haven't seen anything yet.

As far as functional changes, I have no idea. I hope they updated the TC though. Mine is supposed to be here Saturday, so let me (us) know if you find any other changes in the meantime.

You know, I thought I remember seeing one video where they mention UI changes, like you mentioned, toggling between the modes with +/-. I can't seem to find a way to do that though. Maybe I'm missing it though.

I'm still seeing the three clicks to switch the modes. Once I'm in a mode, +/- changes settings for the mode. I'll try to find that video again to see if that feature was added.

Honestly though, toggling modes is kind of a PITA because you have to click the fire button so darn quickly. The thing fires for me when trying to get between modes unless I'm really trying to just get to the next mode. I think I'm just going to go through the other modes and turn them all down so I don't fry my build. I guess there's not really any way around that though if it's going to respond that quickly to fire. Three clicks will still take you to the next mode, but I usually get a quick fire on the second click.

EDIT:

Just found the Tony B video describing the UI changes, it was in his Recurve review.

I tried those changes and I don't see any of them in version 0.0.0.5. So sounds like those haven't been released yet.

I would like the Normal/Hard mode, and also, having the ability to switch through the modes with +/- like that would alleviate some of the issues with having to click 3x to get through each mode.

I'm getting jealous of all the Seaweed Green ones now, lol. Very nice looking. I'll have to order some of those panels for mine. Brad's sent me Red Lava by mistake, but I like it as well.

I'm on 13.5 hrs of chain vaping at 28w on a Samsung 20700B. Battery bar is about gone, but it hasn't moved in about 1.5 hrs. Interested to see how much longer it will run before it refuses to fire.

Hope you all enjoy yours as much as I am. Filling the bottle is nice. Haven't spilled a drop with the way the top/cap is. Not sure I am even going to mess with the refill bottle.

First full day with it has been a pleasure. Very pleased with it.

The status on my second one from MyVPro still doesn't even look like it's hit the post office yet. I'll be calling them on Monday if it hasnt arrived and the tracking hasnt updated from the 'pre shipment' status by then.

Really enjoying mine too, can't see myself using TC so not worried about that. I use mechs most of the time and keep trying a regulated now and then. DNA75 mods just didn't feel right to me and neither did the RSQ but this feels a lot better, must be the quick firing. Still early days though I'll have to use it for a week or 2 before I decide if I'll get another. It definitely seems a bit overpowered but that's not a big issue for me, I've just been running it at 32-33w instead of my usual 35w when I use a regulated device.

View attachment 741675 I’ve had the mod for 24 hrs now - using tc - 460f + 60watts - fwiw - it suits my style of vaping fine - I am using a Cthulhu Gaia as a topper so my wicks never dry up

Vape in peace

Tonyc
So you been using it in TC mode? Seems to be working for how you use it?

How do you like the Gaia? I've got a Bombertech Pindad that I may build this weekend (small BF RDTA like the Gaia) to use with the Pulse.

BTW, I recevied one of my 'backup' Pulse mods from Vape Wild today, and it is NOT the 'high end edition' that includes the bottle. It is the standard edition. I checked the website, and they have removed the infomation that stated it included the 30ml refill bottle. No biggie to me, the Pulse bottle is extremely easy to fill without making a mess. Just wanted to clarify that the site was originally incorrect, they are selling the version w/o the refill bottle.

My VW pulse 80 is showing in at the local PO, should arrive Monday. Really looking forward to it [emoji5] Under a week from order to delivery.

A refill bottle was a shrug for me, the price point is good, especially with the free shipping.
