I certainly think that would give a better grip but I'm not too keen on the look. I wonder why they didn't take the opportunity to slip in an OLED or at the minimum a 12 segment display would have been great. OLEDs are super tough and likely more resilient than the segmented display they use but even if they stayed with segmented they could have gone to 12 to make the menus and such more readable.

I would imagine a new display would require rewriting the firmware which would probably force a price increase, and one of the most common complaints is already the price. Yes it would be nice if they would update the firmware, display, and menu access, but I can live with out all that if they would have to raise the price to incorporate them.

Nowhere
throw a zmax evic vamo ggts pick it up and tell me if it works ( if you can stop crying over your scuffed ggts )

This made me laugh. I don't necessary look for "throwability" or integrated truck defense in my mods.

I like the build quality of a provari but I could buy 2 vamos or zmax's for the price of the cheapest provari (no extension cap either). That way even if a rogue semi attacked one, I'd still be set.

So if provape wants my business, they need to do better at this point than making it pretty colors and ribbing it for my hands pleasure.

Its not a suprise to me because Provape has answered an ecf member's e-mail and told him that no VW provari would be in the works for at least another year, and that was only a couple months ago now. They said that they would be working on new tank systems and new limited edition asthetics such as the new engraved caps and now the 2.5 casing for this period/year.

So I knew & KNOW not to look for a VW provari for at least a good while. In my opinion, the Provari is still the best mod on the market when your comparing features. NO it doesn't have variable wattage but when compared to any other mod it does have the best MANUFACTURER'S warranty, it CAN be sent in to fix ANYTHING that has broken on it and there IS a list of prices on the site for repairs to different things having broken.... NO mod vv/vw has that.. and it DOES have MORE safety features than every single other mod on the market to date. I'm sure the new variable wattage is a goal but provape might be working on a game-changer tank system to go with it, FIRST. (perhaps one that they will be able to mass-produce?)

There is a bright future in Provari's and provape products, trust me. Don't discount them just because they don't have a VW device. Most of the people that are willing to spend nearly $200 on a device are already the type of vapers that know that VW is not a necessity and it can be a bit gimicky when you know how to use VV as it is.

It is not the only US made PV that has a one year warranty and that will be supported after warranty and that is VV, in fact, and even better, there is at least one where that same warranty IS transferable upon sale.

How many Vamos and Zmaxes does it take to equal the regulation consistency of the ProV?

I have all 3 devices. All 3 work fine. All 3 provide fantastic vapes. I happen to use VW exclusively on the vamo and zmax. If my ProV had VW I would use it exclusively as well.

As far as the regulation consistency? Never been an issue for me. I change my batteries every day and don't wait till they get to low.

I meant to put tube in front of mod vsummer. Its the best US made vv tube mod warranty and repairability I've seen. But there are many other US made mods that have the same or similar great warranties. The REO Grend VV for instance. The Super-T mods. The Silver Bullet, Omega, Alpha, and BB. The GLV. The BUZZ and Buzz Pro and all the ones I didn't mention because I'm too lazy :p

I wanted to say this: It looks like the Mini still has it's teardrop design, but with lines on both sides.

And speaking of durability... I'm sure the Vamo and the Zmax and all of the SS foreign made devices are just as durable as the Provari. I dont know, because I don't own them sadly. But I do know that I've dropped my Provari from my bed onto my hardwood floor at least 9 or 10 times now and I've dropped it from my mouth strait onto the tile floor...... (drip tip popped out of my mouth when i was hanging it from my lips) and not only have I not broken the insides, but it doesn't even have a chip or a single scratch in it. It amazes me. I dropped my lavatube onto my raw iron bed posts ONCE and it took a gouge out of it like a mongoose in rabbit skin. So I really like the durability of my provari and I'd get another someday. Definitely.

As for the vamo and zmax, I have been reading around and it seems the circuitry is better than the tube. So I suppose that after the tubes/caps fail, you could always sell the circuitry to someone who wants to put it into a mod. I think someone would pay a couple bucks for it. I have seen the mods with the chip.

I dropped my ProV from the truck to the ground, not one scratch on it. My tank was not so fortunate. Gotta love that durability. I wonder if the new ones are going to be so indestructible? I can't really tell what the finish is?

I dropped my vamo on solid concrete flooring from 5-6 feet and didn't even scratch it (I use a skin though) .... just saying.

I have a SS VAMO and haven't dropped I doubt it would have any problem at all with a drop of significant height. I have a SS Zmax and did toss it off the roof of my car into the road and there's not a scratch on it. The drip tip is still missing in action though.

I've read posts about the regulation not being good on the VAMO or Zmax but within the real world working range there is no significant differences that I see. One interesting thing was that the Provari used more power @ idle than the others though. Something like 10 times as much idle draw than the Zmax.

All that said. I don't see anything wrong with any of them if they fit your needs.

Well said, build quality/reliabilty second to none....
