Right behind you...
What do you mean doubling the legs ?

Leaving your legs long, taking the end of the leg and bending it in the middle, folding it back towards the coil before you mount it. This makes your legs thicker inside the post holes, making it less likely they will be cut by the screws, and giving you better electrical contact.

you might have cut the coil lead with the screw...dual 30ga coils and only 1 coil is firing? definitely a connection problem. 30ga is really easy to cut with the stock screws. 2mm grub screws are good replacements as mentioned early in this thread, also, 26ga Ti01 is MUCH easier to work with IMO...7 wraps spaced (0.165ohms) is my preferred setup is all of my atomizers now.

Nice build. I started playing with claptons. Not sure if I really like them any better but they do give a warmer vape. Here's 26 AWG Ti wrapped with 34 AWG Kanthal, 2.5mm ID, 5 wraps. Comes in at just under 0.13 Ohms.

So what did you think of the ti/Kanthal Clapton?

Vape is too hot for my taste on a tank. Great for drippers but the way the air hugs the coils in a tank just makes it too hot for me. This morning I built two strand twisted 28 AWG Ti, 6 wraps using #6 screw as a mandrel, heat coils to blue then squeeze to fit. 0.16 ohm. Goldilocks coils. Plain old wire too cool, claptons too hot, twisted seems just right so far lol.

cant seem to get my coil to heat up evenly its always more towards the left side of the coil what does that mean>?
Try tightening the screws in the post holes and make sure you have a solid connection.

Try gently compressing the coil together with some tweezers after heating them.

Make sure your wraps are as even as possible.

If this still doesn't solve it, wrap another set of coils!

even when i use the stock coils it still is uneven even after i press them together... is the cutting the kanthal over the other side affect this? like how long or short i cut?

No. I've heard some say it does but I don't think so because no power is going through those ends. I'm no expert though

also what does it mean since theres 2 coils and 1 coil seems to be heating up faster than the other.

This one I know because it happens to me way to much. It means the length of wire being heated is not the same. If one is less/shorter it will have less resistance and heat faster. If you're sure the wraps are the same, check your legs going to the posts. The leg lengths need to be as close to the same as possible on both coils

Also make sure that one side is not looser under the screws than the other.

screws are definitely locked in as i can see theres no more space to screw

as for the legs im suspecting thats the issue

this is the other thread i posted with a video link to my coils..

but the far left/right side post is so far and requires more leg to get there how do u make it the same as the middle post legs?

This guy said best what I was trying to say. .. not the legs on the same coil need to match

"The legs on 1 coil don't have to be even, but when you make dual coils, you need to mirror the other image. So when you make the dual coils, the legs on 1 coil need to match the length of the legs on the 2nd coil. ..... " (sorry to that person as I didn't copy the name I stole the quote from)

Just got my Billow V2 a few days ago. I have a leak somewhere and cant figure it out. There is about 1/4 of my eliquid mysteriously vanishing from my tank overnight while its sitting straight up but everything on the outside is dry! Its definitely not leaking through the air holes. The only thing I can think of is that it might be slowly leaking through the 510 connector. Has anyone else had a problem like this. When I check everything seems dry though. Its the case of the vanishing e-liquid and I need to get to the bottom of it. Any suggestions on what to check. Maybe a bad o-ring somewhere?
