eciggity has a steel tank replacement for the original Billow--hopefully they make one for the v2.
However, I probably can pump out 304 mirror finished stainless steel tubes for fairly cheap. $10 / sleeve (shipping included) should do it.

Just ordered from eciggity, hope they are really in stock. About ready to retire my leaky old Cthulhu. Hope the build quality on this tank is better than the Cthulhu is.
checked out Cthulhu. Looks like it is very similar to the Billow. Personally I think you made a fine choice going with the Billow v2 as I am extremely happy with it.
I would like to know this too. I have yet to delve into the world of temp control but when I do I may use the billow to do it with.... I guess I have to get a temp control mod first too [emoji19]

Yes, it works fine, no problems. It is sometimes a pita to get all that wire in to get enough total resistance (as many as 15 wraps with smaller diameter coils) and Ni wire is very soft, but with a bit of care it's not much different from working with kanthal.
Around what resistance did you get with around 15 wraps?

I've got some ni200 28g in the mailbox and was going to try a nickel build soon. Just trying to figure out how in the world can you get 15 wraps in that tight of space. I'll soon find out.

The 15 wraps is my low wattage build. If I remember it right it's 30 AWG Ni 200, 2 mm, 15 wraps, 0.17 Ohm, 32.5 watts. Something more reasonable is 28 AWG Ni 200, 2.5 mm, 11 wraps, about 0.10 Ohm, 40 Watts (again, from memory, might have been 3 mm). I have notes but I'm on lying on the couch at the moment and it's too late at night to get up and dig through notes lol. I haven't really tried anything thicker than 28 AWG in Ni 200 in any of my dual coil attys because it starts getting tougher to get the resistance high enough with a reasonable number of wraps.

I don't think 15 wraps of 28 AWG will fit. If I remember right, 13 was the max before the edges of the coils were within a whisker of the side of the lower chimney. Then again, I've seen people do some amazing stuff so maybe you can!
15 wraps of 30 AWG fits fine.

Cool. Thanks for the info on the builds. That'll help. I've tried to do the amazing things I've seen others do, but haven't been to successful at it. Although If I practiced...
I just changed out the coils that came with the Billow v2 and put in 24ga kanthal, 2.5mm ID, 7 wraps each, .3 ohms with Rayon wicks and wow! Perfect build for a mech IMO.
I have an eVic VT on the way and ordered the Billow v2 as well. I was going to go with the Atlantis 2 but decided I didn't want to pay $12-$20 everytime I need more coils and am set up already to build my own (I own a few RDAs and a mech currently). I hope I can figure out how to wrap these coils so the resistance is high enough with the tight space and the dual coil setup.
Well lets just say get the resistance between .05 - 1 ohm. With nickel I'm not worried about having a dual coil above 1 ohm. I wasn't sure if it would be a problem to get a dual coil nickel coil and have it above .05. Maybe that isn't difficult? I don't know bc I have never tried nickel before.

I recently received a Billow V2 for review. I rocked a Kanthal build for a bit and figured I'd better do a Ni200 build in the interest of completeness.
30ga tempered Ni200, 2.5mm mandrel, 10 wraps, 0.09Ω... barely fits in the lower chimney section. Kicks lots of .... though.

Hey guys. So I decided to rebuild my billow today. I wanted to try to fit fused claptons in it. Made about 10 inches of 28 N80/36 KA1 and tried a 2mm 6 wrap first but it came out too low (0.17 ohms) because I want to use it on a tube mech. Had enough to do another and was pretty happy with this 5 wrap on a 2.4 mm.
Fits well in the chimney piece and everything. Came out to 0.2 ohms. Perfect. From start of taking out my drill to pinching and fiddling with the final pair, and losing a screw and looking for the box for a replacement screw in the middle, about an hour had passed. I was so excited and ready to try my new build on my 2 week old Billow V2. Then I went to the kitchen where my rinsed remaining pieces of the tank were drying and saw the glass piece sitting there with a huge freakin crack from the edge about one inch to the center. I stood there for about two minutes looking at it contemplating still trying to vape with it before I angrily threw it in the trash. Wtf man, I hadn't dropped it or anything. It must have happened when I was struggling to unscrew the bottom steel piece from the tank (which btw happened everytime I disassembled). I'm so ....... I emailed eciggity. Do you guys think they'll send me a free replacement being that I just got it a couple weeks ago? Or do you think they'll make me pay the stupid 5 bucks + shipping?
