I bought my black Bolt in May from CCV and I would definitely call it a clicky button. The horn switches I bought from mapvapes are the exact same switch.

The Bolt that PBrusardo reviewed had the spongy button and I believe it was also from CCV. So I'd assume that Smoketech is just using whatever is available for the assy line and don't have a standard old/new version button.

The button in January 2012 is the same button in July 2012, both powder coated. Maybe what they are referring to is the spring compressing before actually engaging the inner button...certainly not clicky.

Hey Nampa....howdy neighbor!

A Idaho vaper hi there....u like zim too!!! Me too!!

So I have my first problem with the bolt I went to grab it and take a pull the other day and it did this weird pop pop sizzle then nothing I opened it up to find that somebody had put my battery in upside down (cough cough my wife) the device got very hot and the hot spring collapsed and is charred looking my question is, is my bolt probably fried or should I just replace the spring?

after looking around, the bolt may be my next mod, the size seems smaller than a silver bullet which is what i want....only downfall so far is the 3.7 volt, since thats what i use right now

Get a kick and put in it, makes for a nice and pretty inexpensive variable regulated watt solution.

Yeah I couldn't handle the 3.7v, so I've been running a double extension Gun Metal Bolt with Kicked CGR18650CH's for a while now. Very nice vaping and battery life, even with DCT's.

Only bought the Bolt out of boredom when I spotted one real cheap, also wanted something I could Kick too. Now I'm very happy with the purchase and performance.

I'm waiting for my Bolt, should be here any day now!!!
Pretty excited about it since I'm upgrading from ego type batteries. It looks like the ideal PV for me:sturdy and simple to fix if something happens... I work in the amazonian rainforest so a quick return for warranty is not an option...
Any day now i will be part of the Bolt Club:toast:

When I got mine I had some of these laying around and I used them to run 5v the only downfall is the battery life.

I have a couple of AW 1100 mah 3.7v 18490 Battery coming. Perhaps you can help me out.
With what would you start: I have CE3, Apollo tank, Thor rebuildable, K2 and dual coil cartomizers... Would this stuff all work on the Bolt?... if I burn something i will have to wait a couple of weeks for replacement...

I use smoketech 1.7’s... They just rock on the bolt. I use mine in a tank. Black bolt, black tank... Looks slick.
