Ok Buzz..I was all set in my mind as how to test and set the Buzz up. I've tested both atties and batteries with my multimeter and have built a few mods, so I'm not unfamiliar with the procedures, but it sounds like the "electronics" inside the Buzz are gonna be a bit different to read.

So if I'm understanding you right..when I test the setup and it reads 6.0 on the meter and I then load up an atty..it's gonna drop the actual voltage that goes through the atty? By how much then? .5v? 1v? Should I be setting it for 6.5 to achieve 6.0 in actual usage?

Just wanna know...I hate killin' atties and don't want to hit it too hard?

If the voltage is set within the specified 3.6 to 6 volts it will stay within 2% of the set voltage. !

Anything over that and all bets are OFF :toast:( see the prior posting )

That's what they said on the Candlepower forum too. That's why I thought it was odd when some people on this forum claimed the high drains last longer than the Li-Ions.

I have some AW's hi drain batts and they dont last as long either .
At twice the price I don't think I'll be buying anymore of those. The only advantage I can see in them is if the ones with the protection circuit don't fit.

BTW due to consumers wanting the 510 connector I am having some prototypes being made and will be getting some in soon ( 3-4 weeks at least )
So the 510 will become available later down the road.

Just in case you weren't already considering this, be sure to make sure that the 510 threads are compatible with the 510 cartomizers, as many people (like me) will probably want to use them. The 510 adapters that come with a number of other mods often don't fit the threads on the cartos, so I figured it would be worthwhile to point this out while you're in the R&D phase. ;-)

Just FYI, the adapters notcig sells do work with the 510 cartos. Thanks for the heads up I didn't know some adapters dont work.

I didn't know some adapters didn't work either. It makes me wonder if they would work on my adapter. I have a 801 to 510 adapter from Vaprlife.

ADAPTER

Let's not let this get our of hand, guys. ;-)

Every 801 or 901 -> 510 adapter I own (and I own quite a few) works perfectly with 510 cartos, it's just a few 'native' 510 adapters (like the ones on my Prodigy V1 and V2, for example) that don't fit the 510 cartomizers.

So, you'll probably be fine with your 3rd party, 'add-on' 510 adapters.

I have the eastmall 510 cartomizers and they work on my prodigy V2 but not my silver bullet. What I did was take steel wool and used it on the carto threads. Then pulled the center pin out slightly on the carto and they worked on the SB. The manufactures of all atties and cartos need to tighten up the tolerances. Just too much variations.

That's good to know.:2cool:

A video review of the Buzz has just been posted by JDSupreme. :2cool:
