To say that Cloud Chasing hasn't paved the way for vaping innovation is short sighted...
Over the past 6 months we have witnessed the development of more regulated mods that cater to cloud chasers... Remember when VW was a 12 W capable funky looking box that looked more like a tire pressure gauge than a vaping device? Then it stepped up to 15W, then 20W, then 30W... Now we're seeing 50W, 100W, and I even saw a 150W device...
What is driving all this? Cloud Chasers, that's who... The Sub Ohm crowd...
For me, I like my ProVari's and Nautilus tanks... Simple... And I get a good vape...
But the industry knows cloud chasing has inherent dangers and is responding by creating regulated mods that make it MUCH safer to enjoy that aspect of vaping, and providing the amount of power it takes to drive these sub ohm coils in a safe and responsible way.
Much in the same way the auto industry uses racing technology to drive our experience in everyday driving (Seriously, almost every part of the modern automobile was designed at a race track by some gear head) these cloud chasers are making an impact, and in my opinion it's for the better. I'm sure at one point people looked at folks like Mario Andretti, AJ Foyt, Michael Schumacher, Richard Petty, they were probably all called crazy... You guys are insane for wanting to risk your lives doing that ......ed race car driving...It was folks like this who changed everything for cars, and it has trickled down to the cars we drive today.
Just because you think it's crazy doesn't mean the industry isn't paying attention... And anything these cloud chasers do that makes vaping safer and more enjoyable for the mainstream, the better off we'll all be. It's how WE as a community respond to these types of incidents that is going to decide our fate.
If we shun the activity and all say how horrible it is and those guys are a stain on our otherwise white coat, that does nobody any good. The vaping community needs to embrace the cloud chasers, educate them, and encourage responsible behavior. I think we do that already... The industry is responding by making mods catered to them.
We're all benefitting from accidents like this... It was unfortunate, but if we use it as a learning experience, then everybody wins
