you know it, playa! Cloudz bro

On a serious note, I always wanted to see and hold the Darwin I remember seeing a used one way back for sale some where, maybe the classifieds.

Contribution to the thread:
What do you high powered users with builds think of standard contact or spaced coils in comparison to more intricate builds like claptons and such? Did they make all the difference? Do you use both?

I'm just asking since I've never tried them and have no drive to make any since I get such a great vape from the spaced or contact. I'm only basing this off my one atomizer that's below 0.5ohms with spacing between the wraps. A great vape though.

I like claptons. I only ever built the one pair though. I wrapped them by hand and it sucked. The flavor is awesome, but they won't fire at anything under 80W and it takes about 3 1/2 days for them to cool back down when you let off the trigger. They blow through juice and batteries like nobody's bidness. Parallel coils work well too. Huge clouds from 35W or less with a single parallel. Twisted, meh. Not much different from a standard contact coil. That's about as far as I've gone with it, but the dragon nano coils are next on my list of things to try.

I do have a single 24g parallel in my old Zenith V2, it's been in there for the whole year lol. Never tried twisted, although I should give it a shot since it's only minutes of time to prepare.

@Visus I agree with the small chamber for dense vapor. I have a single 26g in the Freakshow mini that is by no means super sub ohm, but closed off airflow lets it give me some dense vapor. Same with my Goblin RTA, small chamber and some restriction really gives a nice vape at no where near the cost of high wattage.

I feel like the whole "cloud chasing" thing has gotten a bit out of hand. Would it be outlandish for me to say "All attention mongers are cloud chasers, but not all cloud chasers are attention mongers". You all know where I'm coming from with that.

I can see this thread easily regressing (or progressing!) to a TPB appreciation discussion, knowmsayin?

I like the idea of a thread for our style of vaping. I don't chase clouds for fun or competition, I exhale huge plumes of thick, flavorful vapor because that's what satisfies me and keeps me from wanting to go back to the nasty sticks. BLAP!

Yep. That's exactly it. I'm the same way. I wasn't able to get off the icky sticks until I went sub ohm. I love clouds, and they won't give me cancer.

End of line.

Found my new chasing set up today. Got my Turtle Ship in the mail. I'm absolutely in love with this thing. Partnered it up with a Wotofo Sapor rocking dual 24 gauge coils. 5 wraps around a 3mm screwdriver. The Ship seems to improve my vapor density quite a bit, although I'm a bit puzzled how the mod itself can effect that. Very anxious to see what it's capable of once I get a couple of dual parallels on there.

End of line.

The only way a mech mod will vape differently from any other, assuming that the battery is the same, is if one has less voltage drop than another. Even then, it may not be a noticeable difference. It may be in your head, which is fine; a great looking mech/atty combo always seems to vape better!

How do you like that Sapor? I really like mine. I'm running 22ga duals in it right now and it's de-hee-heecent! Vapes like a champ, flavor and cloudage.

Kind of a newb to it but am running a Kanger subtank nano .5ohm tank on a CF4 between 27-35 watts depending on the day and it is like someone else posted the only way to get rid of my cig craving. I vape zero nic so it's not about the buzz, but warm dense satisfying clouds full of flavour. Currently Spacejam Eclipse, yum...

Conversely I use an EVOD at 6mg on a 650MAH ego battery with cheap juice in the day and that's fine. But when evening comes, I gotta have that denseness and warmth, knowhati'msayin'?... :)
