The thing about the South that you gotta know is that every creature bites and most of them are poisonous. We have Brown Recluse, Black, Brown and now even Red Widows along with almost no safe snakes. The worst being Cottonmouths! Meanest sombidges you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. Fire Ants!?! Come on man! I have never found anything to rival a Fire Ant in the US. Central America? Yessir they have some bad boys but not the rest of the good ol USA.

@36- I cant speak for water, but its not as much being proud of them as learning to live with them. Some are just a plain nuisance while others ( like my wolf spider buddies) aren't too appealing but they're tolerable because they eat the other ones. The brown and black widows I smash... won't take the chance of one biting the kids. But the wolf spiders and the huntsman spiders we get aren't venomous- they can bite, just no poison.

Sallie, I just moved away from NC about 6 months ago. I love NC, but where I lived, there were only 2 seasons. Of course, I lived near the beach. The heat was terrible, as you can probably imagine.

Well... I guess we can scratch NC. We're running out of options here...

Couldn't have said it better.

I grew up in a house full of Vols fans.. I am the only Dawg fan.. football season is horrible in this family.

Nothin finer in the land than a drunk obnoxious Georgia fan! Red and Black stand and be reckoned with.....
