Lost again. I dont even know what the final score was. Like 5-14 or something. We got to the bottom of the last inning when we couldve gone back up to bat, but the umpire was a pecker and said we were already over our time limit and with an 8 run limit per inning, we couldnt catch up, so there was no reason to keep playing. .... hole.

Oh, well that makes it ok then!

Im not worried about the loss. The girls are showing improvement, which means Im doing my job. The lack of pitcher and lack of anyone willing to swing the bat is killing us though. Most of our runs were by walks, and ALL of their runs were from walks. We only had maybe three girls swing the bat the whole game, and only one of those swings made contact. It was an easy out at first, but I was happy she hit the ball. If I can get everyone else swinging, I'll be ecstatic. Last year, I had a perfect losing season. But by the end of the year, I couldnt have been happier. I went from a mostly rookie team to 13 girls who had a solid understanding of the game, and could almost play it really well! If I can get the same results this year, even with no wins, Im a happy coach.

Hey James, do you guys have access to a pitching machine? It worked wonders for my sons' teams when they were younger and afraid to swing at the ball. It helps them get used to what a good pitch is supposed to look like.
