We have two bassets and a corgi. They all have great personalities. We got the two bassets from different rescue orgs, and the corgi from a local breeder.
The corgi herds the bassets around the backyard, and they've taught him how to "Sing" like they do.
They sign together for about 5 minutes each night. It's like they think they can't go to sleep until they do so.

Finally home. :) Of course not much cleaning got done today, but we did at least get some supplies that needed getting. While we were at Lowes I picked up some paint chips. Looks like we'll be painting most of the downstairs this spring and all of the hallways throughout the upstairs and downstairs since they're all connected by at least one wall. Ugh, that's a lot of painting. The house really needs it though. Now that Lenny stopped smoking it would be great to freshen things up, and once the new carpet comes the rest of the house will look shabby in comparison. No way I can talk Lenny into a whole house redo, so the upstairs carpet will have to wait until next year. We're both tired of brown too. I guess when we first moved in it seemed like a fairly noncommittal color that we could accessorize with our favorite colors. There are only 3 rooms in the house that are not some shade of brown/tan/cream.

Church, done. Walmart run, done. Drilling hole in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket done. Hanging tomato plant upside down in said bucket, done. Half the back yard cut since the riding mower is still dead, done. Playing with the new BB gun, done. (Mrs E was pi$$ed when I told her I would be using it to teach Kat how to shoot and basic firearm safety :D). Watched a movie, done. Kids napping, done.

Not too bad of a day if I do say so myself.

I guess that was kind of the idea too Drott. When my husband said he was sick of brown I did a jig and started looking at new vacuums for him. I think a once a day quick vacuum should be sufficient to hide the hair. :D
