Our building across the street just had its fire alarm go off thanks to the HVAC vendors.... Thankfully, we had the fire supression system turned off. It only took 15 minutes to silence the alarm. Unfortunatley, I have no idea how to reset the system, or if I even want to.
As soon as I started lunch, the boss calls a tech to pull that cable (mentioned not long ago). I have two problems with this part of the story. One, I JUST sat down to lunch. At 1pm. Everyone else gets to eat their lunch, usually uninturrupted at 11:30. Not me. But Im cool with the time, as long as I get my hour. Problem 2, just because Im in the warehouse all day does NOT mean that I have nothing to do. The boss is real quick to say "James can do it" then cant understand why my workload keeps stacking up on the floor.... Anywho, the tech said it was cool if I finished lunch, and that he would call me when he got to the site. After my lunch, I texted him asking if he needed help, never heard back from him. Then he said "next time boss says go with someone, dont ask, just go. Im in a mess of here".... REALLY?!?!? If it was going to be that bad, why didnt he contact me saying that he needed the help?!?!??? I even asked him where he was and said I could leave in 15 minutes (I had already finished lunch and started on some work that I had to get done. So, by now, hes taken down a customer's circuits, and could tell the boss that I refused to go out there, laying the blame on my shoulders... I feel bad that he took down the circuits, but Im pi$$ed that hes trying to make it look like its my fault I wasnt out there to help. What makes it worse, is the fact that I consider this dude one of my closer aquaintences, if not friend, from work.
Some one make this day end... please? It should have been over an hour ago, but I think theres one, maybe two more hours of work left to do....

My day just got better. Power is out at home. And it happened while my wife was half way through cooking dinner.
Where's that bunny pic banging its head against the wall? Thats what I feel like. And ohyeahbytheway.... We siphoned all the gas out of the generator to put it into the lawn mower, and didnt have a chance to fill the gas can back up last week. Yep. I need this day to be OVER!!!!
At least I still have my devilishly good looks. Oh wait... Crap.

Im going home. I dont think there is much else I can bring myself to get done for now. Maybe power will be back on when I get home. BBL.
Maybe you should do sales on a random tuesday instead a day you have off like a holiday or birthday.
