Middle of No Where, GA
I've been meaning to update you guys on how Morgan is doing since the new medicine change. She seems better than she was a couple of weeks ago but still not where she needs to be. She goes back to the doctor next week so I imagine we'll be adjusting the dosage a bit. Her sleeping has evened out some for the most part, she's not staying up all night anymore, at least in the past week. Her mood has evened out a good bit. So all in all, things seem to bet getting better a little at a time. Alex is doing good (knock on wood). School starts in a couple of weeks and there is usually a hard adjustment period for both of them. I imagine it will be worse for Morgan this year since it's her first year in middle school. I'll meet with the teachers the first week of school to go over both of their IEP's (individualized education plan, used for children receiving special education services). I always give the teachers a folder with articles about their specific disabilities and a letter explaining how it effects them specifically, as well as telling them about what the kids are like, what they enjoy, strengths, etc. This personalizes them more to the teachers so that they aren't just a piece of paper with issues they have to deal with. I have videos for each of the kids that I show to the teachers then too that explains their "story". Over the many years I've dealt with the school system, this has proven to be the best method to allay the teachers concerns and answer their questions since they don't often have children with these types of issues.

Anyway, thank you all for the prayers you've sent our way! It's helped me in the past few weeks to have this place to just be able to come and chat. Thank you for that!!

Talk to ya'll later today.

Sigh.....AJ and I went out and got new CC shoes, then went to grocery store. On the way into the house I could feel something dripping on my foot :?: And AJ says Mom its coming from your purse  Sure enough the water bottle I stuck in there right before getting out of the car flooded the bottom of my purse :( I dump everything out, the Riva is hot & there is juice ooozing out of the bottom of the carto :(, my phone and watch were saved. The only thing I'm not sure about is the gate clicker, it was soaked & now drying. Purse in garbage. I will not carry another big purse again...I hate them.

Oh yuck. Try putting the gate clicker in a zip lock filled with uncooked rice. Just leave it in there a few days. That helps pull the moisture out.
I hate big purses too.

I'll bet you'll want one after you baby sit it.They are the best dogs ever. If I had known that I wouldn't have 5 cavaliers.I would have 5 Border Collies. They are the most loving willing to please dogs ever.Once they learn something it's forever. Not even a week to housebreak. He got it and he has never messed in the house. Will climb mountains if you ask him to. Here's the caveat with Border Collies...Once they learn something it's forever.I said that already right? He is an Agility dream, housebroken quicker than any dog that I have owned but if you inadvertently teach him something you don't like you will have a hard time reversing it.I thought it was cute when he spinned in circles when I opened the door for the cavaliers to go out. It's not that cute now that he's older.I'm afraid he'll hurt himself. He spins the same way every time in the exact same spot. He doesn't turn he spins. We thought it was funny when he tried to herd the cats. Not so funny anymore either. He won't leave them alone till he rounds them up hence they only come out of the basement when he's not around.I hate that because I hang with the cats. But if they have trained him well I predict a Border Collie in your future.
So....

I agreed to watch a friend's border collie puppy for the weekend. Am I nuts? My three weims and a 7 month old border collie? This should be fun.

I buy my stuff myself too. I bring it home and tell him that he bought it for me and he's the one that is surprised.
Im jealous! I usually have to buy my own gifts and can't tell you the last time I got a "just because" gift. I take that back, I bought myself a "just because" gift yesterday.

You buy Copper Creek shoes? I quit carrying big purses once my kids were out of diapers. My shoulder was so bad I had to have it put back in place for carrying the household with me. I now carry a crossbody,my credit cards,2 Provari's ,phone and some kleenex.

Here's my two babies. My big boy and my little girl.I love that she can go up to him without him running away. She's really a calm Pom so I think he feels safe to be around her.
