Today was going SO good.... Then "it" happened. I get through my pre-inventory inventory, and I think I got it all. Nope, I missed a few pieces. No biggie. I went back found them, the checked again. Still four left. Two are with a tech. No problem there. One more is in my office. No issues there. But the fourth and final part.... gone. Missing. My system says its in cabinet 3. Cabinet three just happens to have an empty spot the same size as the missing equipment. Which isnt exactly tiny. I call up our central warehouse to see if there had been any movement with that part. Checked out then back in or something, maybe it was put in the wrong cabinet... Nope. It hasnt moved since we got a new spares tracking system in May 2011.... And it was here two months ago when I did my last inventory check. And naturally, no one can ever remember dealing with that particular equipment at all.... Its just...gone. And the only other person that MIGHT have it is on vacation and not ansering his phone (not that I blame him, but still frustrating). This might be the first inventory Ive ever done that has had less than a 100%..... And I dont like it.

Sallie, we could start our own painting business. The downside would be that we would never decide on what color we were painting. Regardless of what the customer wanted.

I dont think people need painted feet... I could be wrong.
