Question though for atty experts...

I'm using a 306 1.8ohm and I'm getting great taste at 3.7 volts. I also have it in a 3.5omh atty which I thought maybe I killed right off the bat last week, no sparks but always the burnt taste. So I cleaned it and let it dry. I just primed it with 5 drops, let it sit and dripped another 3 drops. It's reading 3.5 on the ProVari, so it's not dead, but no matter what I do, always a burnt tasting hit. Is it dead, or am I just doing something wrong?

The thing that confuses me is that you cleaned it, or I would guess it was the primer. I've heard that once you get a burnt taste, it's hard to get out. What I do is put a small amount of baking soda on the atty, then add white vinegar and plug the battery connection and mouthpiece ends. This cleans out the atty itself as well as the air holes. Then maybe use the atty at a higher voltage for a bit to get rid of any remaining burnt taste.

In my experience, an atty will only die in one of two ways if used properly. First is that it do just that: die. No vapor, no flavor, you'll think your device's batteries are dead, nothing. And since you're getting vapor with a burnt taste I doubt that's the case. Second is that they pop, which I've only done once... With a LR atty at high voltage. It sounds a bit like a tiny lightbulb popping, if it's dark you can even see a glow coming from it. And then nothing. Since neither of those have happened, I would just assume the atty needs some TLC.
