I spent a pivotal summer there once- it began with a flight, looking out the plane window (small plane) at all those trees with a tiny road cutting through them has always stuck in my head, like the begining of a movie... I guess it kinda was. Everything is in little scenes. I have long, thick hair and was by Moosehead and attacked by noseeums! OMG, the welts! There was good and bad that summer, but Maine is an amazing place. A moose in person is an unbelievable sight.
