for me too...I would love to live closer and help you out...
it would be a blast....Violie would get rid of your bird
for you...she'd chase it away and make it think she would
hurt it...she's scary but weren't hurt a fly..

you should see her when she stands her fur up and growls...
she shows teeth and goes after whatever...you'd swear she's
killing Sapphire but not one mark on her...my white dobie runs
from her too when Violie is mad...
Shar pei's used to guard Chinese Royalty...they are built for fighting
big strong jaws, lots of loose skin and sandpaper texture...they crush
their prey like squirrels and birds....she's also big at 60-65 lbs..her dad
was 90lbs...
shar peis need rescued a lot because without proper training and socialization
they can be mean...people buy them cuz they are so cute as puppies and
don't know how to train them....disaster...

but she's a totally lovable cutie...
I'm glad she looks more cute than scary though..

you won't find a better, more loyal companion than shar peis..
I love the breed...
Violie lets strangers pet her if I say its ok...
and she's in a lot of stranger's pics...when people see her
they want a pic...its funny..

I love getting to learn about different breeds from actual owners, not a book or website.
Victor is in lots of pics too - he's the black blur flying past in the air....

I do too...I usually get the info from having fostered
the breed too...if its one I haven't had (very few anymore)..
I call reputable breeders and read so I can see what traits
to be concerned about...a few of the huger ones like the bouvier(sp?)
I haven't fostered...
boxers are sweet and cute...smooshy faces are my favs...

Victor, Sapphire and Maddy would have a blast together..
Sapphire was running tonight and Violie was walking...Sapphire
leaped and jumped over Violie from her tail clear over her head
and landed in front of her...kept going....she can leap from standing
still over her from one side to the other...considering Sapphire is tiny
compared to Violie....
