Thanks VV. I appreciate any and all input!

When the fever started last night I called my stepmom, she is a nurse who works with the heart doctors here. She told me the same things which kept me from panicking (sort of). His point of entry is not red and the skin surrounding it it still nice and soft. Nothing looks angry. The nurse did call him yesterday to check on him and he told her that his right leg (where the stents are) was pretty sore and she told him he had every right to be sore. No fever now. whew.

The main complaint seems to be the soreness today. I called the VA this morning, told the nurse and she asked about the fever, I told her there was none now but that he was hurting and she told me that is was too be expected, they were in there for a long time and he had alot of blockage. She also told me to give him ibuprofen and to make sure he walks around some. Maybe that is what it is, he has been taking it really easy. He should probably be up moving around a little more and working out the soreness. He didn't sleep very well last night so I am gonna let him sleep for now and when he gets up I will get him moving a little more.

Thomas doesn't really do pain very well. Hence the male whining comment. lol.

Yay for wound ok and fever down..:)

Yes he needs to move around...it will work the soreness out, keep blood circulating and keep clots from forming in his legs.

We got open heart pts up in a chair the next after surgery as long as they were stable..

You are a sweet, caring wife..:thumb:

Thanks VV. I am actually a basket case. I wouldn't want me taking care of me. I would drive me crazy. Actually I am pretty sure I would smack me for being annoying.
