If you can check in a few times a day it helps. So, since you brought it up, the docs called her this morning. She forgot to tell me they sent a pee sample off for a specific test. It turns out that she had/has a UTI. A pretty bad one too. Even though it didn show itself with any of the usual symptoms. After seeing whatever results they see, they now believe that the vomitting and headache and everything else was directly linked to the UTI. She goes back tomorrow for more tests and possibly another round of a different antibiotic.Hey I know I am new to the thread, but since I was posting at the end of last week and did share others concern for your family, I wanted to say that there are antivirals such as Valtrex (and generic forms like valacyclovir sp?) that are designed to deal with viral infections. Even the generic versions are expensive though. Was it an antiviral that was prescribed?
P.S. there are so many posters on this thread... how does anyone manage to keep up?
