Wow... you're a much higher roller than me... I'm a small time better when I go to Vegas or AC...glad to hear you did not lose nearly as much as you thought! :)

Although.... not remembering a $2500 win would make me worried and start checking my credit cards! ;)

The things they do with shipping containers is
really cool Pool...how cost effective is it to buy
them and then to use them to build a small house?..:?:
Some of the cost depends on region when you adjust for labor, and if the design is elaborate or not, but the average cost savings have increased a lot over the years...roughly 54% today.

You also get other benefits, in that they are rust proof due to the metal that are used to survive shipping over seas, are structurally sound, sterile, and mold resistant. I'm finding a lot of companies that have started to design homes using shipping containers, and some of these homes are absolutely amazing.

wow Pool..54%...thanks for the info..:)
do you build with them, sell them or make them?..
No, I've just been following their use in buildings/homes for several years. I'm wishing I could get my hands on some property around here though and build a house with them. Heck, if I knew anything about business, I"d love to start doing it full time.

Now THAT is something I am truly jealous of.

I do think I will go down to my mancave tonight. Ive got some shows and movies to catch up on on the DVR. Itll be the perfect time for some joose testing!

Good morning posse. I let Morgan sleep and am up listening out for unk. I made him some cream of chicken soup this morning and snuck in some unflavored protein powder and then snazzed it up with some seasoning so the protein couldn't be tasted. He needs his protein and is being stubborn and not drinking any. He's sick of the sweet taste and the stuff he bought is low quality and doesn't taste good. I'm going to use some of next week's paycheck to buy him some good stuff. I've been there and done that and know that if it doesn't taste good, it won't get used. So buying the expensive stuff is worth it in the end.

I'm glad to hear he's home, but I am sorry to hear he is in pain... I have mixed emotions about how quickly hospitals discharge people these days even when still in real pain! :(

Hopefully the meds will dissolve it, but you did lose me on one point... are they going to want him to stay at home... in pain... until he loses weight to perform a procedure? That seems wrong somehow. :(

Yep, that's pretty much what they did. The weight will come off fairly quickly considering he is still on liquids only and has no appetite. Just gotta keep him hydrated and make sure he takes his anticoagulation medicine like he's supposed to. Apparently the clot is really extensive and thinning his blood alone probably won't do the trick. I'm just praying the weight goes down by next week so they can give him the clot busting medication. After the clot gets taken care of and he's no longer in pain, I'm goin to be riding his ... to get up and walk every hour while he's home. That's the only way (other than being on the anticoag med) to prevent his blood from clotting and this happening again. When you go from being on your feet all day at work and moving around a lot to having surgery and only getting up a few times a day to pee or get something to drink, the probability of something like this happening goes up tremendously.

Chips:
I am sorry to hear that but he probably needs someone to bully him...(yes I said bully... women are good at that when us men need it and my wife sure does it to me at times...;)) into making him do what he needs to do to get better. I am sick of doctors being so afraid of lawsuits that they will not do something that is necessary to relieve pain though! My thoughts and well-wishes will go out to all of you during this difficult time!

Debb: Hi! I am sorry to hear of your loss. I am not looking forward to that myself. :( I find myself selfishly hoping I have a few years left before it becomes a regular event... or selfishly... that perhaps I go first. My thoughts will be with you as well.
