Well, we lost again. 8-20 this time. I was expecting it though. But this is the last game that I will be rotating out positions. Starting this week's practice, I will have a full time lineup set. We had our usual 3 innings. I let the last three girls that wanted to pitch stand on the mound. Kathryn being one of them. She actually did surprisingly well. No strike outs, but there were a few strikes in there. I think she finally understands that if she gets a good solid step off the mound, it will actually go where she wants it to. Now if I can just get her to get a good solid step off the mound every pitch, she'd be golden.
My dad and stepmom showed up. Of course I had to text my dad and tell him Kat would be pitching. I doubt they wouldve showed up otherwise. Then they left without saying a word to me, and left without telling Melanie or CJ goodbye. But they made sure to get hugs and kisses from Kat. I keep saying Im done with dealing with that kind of bull crap everytime I see Melanie start crying because she didnt get to give grammy and grandaddy a byebye hug... Its hard to believe a father like me ever came from that man...
