Seriously. Mine never did that kind of stuff. Though when I fell down the cellar steps, mine did holler down "you ok?" me: "Yes, I think so." Sonny: "I think it's time you go to the home Mom, obviously you are no longer able to care for yourself." He found out that not only can I dash up the stairs, that I could out run him too.

Thats easy. I spent what felt like hours standing in Best Buy looking at one trying to figure it out. But I think I got it. There is a traditional fan in the base of the unit. The center of the stand up to the main part is hollow. The fan forces the air up into the circular part. There are small vents all around the circle. As the air comes out, it hits the nozzle shaped inner side of the circle which accelerates the air, and creates an area of pressure inside the circle which pulls more air from behind it, kind of like when the air moves around when you turn a shower head on. An viola, you get accelerated non-turbulent air without fan blades.
But Im just guessing.
